Revive Stronger can you tell me what he meant by veins in the abs and something about not being as important? Maybe I heard wrong. My lower abs are finally starting to come in and I’m measuring my body fat percentage and physique goals by having shredded abs and keeping my muscle and hopefully building all over. Should abs not be the focus if I want to someday compete in men’s physique? Thanks.

What’s interesting is that on a high fat and low carb diet I stalled at 150 pounds (I’m only 5’8 height). Once I switched to a higher carb, low fat diet (fat 50/carb 200-225 with protein about a pound per gram) I am feeling like I am leaning out a bit more than before. I’m hoping I can break through the stalls. I do feel much stronger in the gym and more energy for cardio. I am keeping training intense to not lose muscle.

Revive Stronger can you go over my macros? Do you think 50-60 fat, 150 grams protein and 225 carbs is reasonable? I’m 150 pounds. I’ve had my carbs get up to 300 per day while still being in a caloric deficit. If there is say a 500 calorie or more deficit, do the macros matter that much in your opinion? I train 5 days a week and do about 30 minutes of cardio a day, sedentary job though. I feel really bad when I eat like 3 bowls or cereal, guilty like? But then I look at my calories at the end of the day and still in a deficit. So confused as to if heavier carbs can stall me, while still in deficit. Thanks.

Looking great imo and if the bowls of cereal fit your macros, well, cereals are life and thus you don't have to feel guilty at all! - Pascal

Every single week? What's going on with you? Have you never deload? ;)
@dwbakker6 жыл бұрын
Well, I probably forget to comment on the deload :), last week was 4/5, next week is my last week, after that it's deload time again. Maybe twice daily sessions tryout next block?!?!? I have a very very easy 5 weeks of school so I probably want to try it out...

One thing I did find, I made the volume of satuday too high, compared to the other days, and because it's the last day before my rest day it's always the hardest day. Good to learn things like this, I'll lower it next meso. In this way programs keep improving!

You can have veins in your abs at around 8%. I'm probably 5-6 lbs away from 8% and I'm starting to see veins in my abs. I don't want to get to bodybuilder leaness but 8% is great. I'm going super slow especially with these last 5 lbs. 400 calorie deficit 5 days per week and 2 consecutive refeed days every week. I weigh all my food and increase or decrease calories based on if I work out that day or not to maintain a steady deficit. Ita going really well this time. Cravings and food obsession is definitely way less than it has been before when I've gotten this lean and then quickly rebounded. Then I'm gonna eat at maintenance for a couple weeks and then a 200 calorie surplus until it's time to trim any bit of fat I gained while bulking before next summer and rinse and repeat every summer. Yeah I don't understand reverse diet. Just go immediately maintenance for a couple weeks
