Crabby FPS might be a bit difficult though since you can only strafe...
@ER-ng1hr2 жыл бұрын
An easy mistake to make; Crabby actually got his break in the video game industry being a playtester for the original Doom, where his preternatural ability to move sideways whilst maintaining a fixed distance from a central focal point and simultaneously press the "Fire" button led to the invention of Circle Strafing and was how the Par Times were originally set for each course (Circle Strafing went on to become the traditional method used by the Mongol hordes from the year 1993-99 to beat every FPS that was realeased in that time). However, these times were not able to be matched by humans until their minds were freed by watching the original Matrix in 1999, and were adjusted accordingly before the game was launched. Crabby actually financed his adventure with the money he made from a legal agreement with id software to never reveal that games which challenged the intellect and reflexes of humans, chimps, dolphins, corvids, and/or hybrids of some or all of these species were, in fact, utterly trivial for even the most mediocre of crabs to master as they believed people wouldn't want to play a game that a crab could beat them at without even trying. Crabby died in 2002 of natural causes whilst swimming in a puddle of melted butter, which went on to become a bisque.

Crabs can propel themselves through the water by using there rear legs like propellers
@ER-ng1hr2 жыл бұрын
@@thedeadpoolwhochuckles.6852 heard and outed - Making every level in an fps circular was found not just to be "too boring" by Rare in 1995 during the early stages of developing GoldenEye (a hypothesis later confirmed by Valve's captive Klendathuan brain-bug during the development of Half-Life), but also the limitations of the technology of the time meant that there was no computer powerful enough to render a true circle; instead they had to approximate circles by arranging many hundreds of isosceles triangles into pizza-type formations. (Fun fact - the original GTA was supposed to be a standard racing game set in the UK, but when DMA tried to design a perfectly circular roundabout as part of the Basildon track the AI became extremely erratic and aggressive against all human players, which led to npc racers being re-skinned as cops and the game being set in America so that all the roads being straight with 90 degree turns onto other roads made narrative sense). Also, circular stages would have been even easier for crabs in general (let alone Crabby himself), which would make the problem of crab superiority even more apparent than before. Thanks for the comment; I hung it on me wall! P.S. please forgive the lateness of my reply

Weirdly, when I was about 9 (so around 1974) I had an eye operation, and the general anaesthetic made me have a really freaky nightmare - and the face from that Dracula game was in it ! Obviously that was years before the artwork was even created. Now I'm slightly scared.

There's an unwritten rule that says anything with a cat on cannot be bad. At all. Ever. I'd have totally bought that ringtone maker if I were Japanese based solely on the fact it had the fluffyist cat I've seen since I got a book about cats and ringed a Persian adding, "I want this one!" in a five year old's scrawl next to it! I'm not even kidding, I still have the book! No Persian though... You wanna split the dudes on the first cover? I'll have the one on the left. I do hope that the self-deprecation is mostly hyperbole, because you are great at what you do, should be proud of it and you definitely deserve to have a feeling of accomplishment for all the entertainment and joy you are bringing to your viewers . I think possibly my two favourite box covers are Ninja Golf on the NES and The Way Of The Exploding Fist, which was a budget fighting game for the Speccy - the aggression in the guy's face is indeed distilled! The thing I notice immediately about the sliders artwork here is that the head on legs must be the same species as the Sugar Puffs Honey Monster. At least the same genus! Part of the charm of Imagic's box art was just how low budget the photography was. Demon Attack featured spray painted rubber dinosaurs with model aircraft parts glued on. Star Voyager's pic was a kit-bashed UFO very clearly made from parts of a Millennium Falcon model kit.

And if it makes you feel any better, while I seem happy to disembowl crabs when I get the chance, I can't stand peel your own shrimp and lobsters that still have eyes. I was 20 something, not 4 but after sitting across from my mother eating a lobster that had his eyes and all still for an hour, I never wanted to see it again. I don't like food that's looking at me. Luckily when I get a whole crab from the grocery store, it's precooked and the eyes tend to be I guess closed.
