The transformation began with some demo where I removed the old laundry trough and cut off the outdated skirting boards.
I quickly realised that my original plans weren’t going to work, so I adjusted and built custom cabinetry designed to stack my washing machine and dryer.
This clever solution not only maximises the limited space but also adds a sleek, modern touch.
Next, I focused on the walls by tiling a stunning feature tile that instantly adds character and flair. After getting the levels just right, I laid the tiles with precision, ensuring a perfect finish.
Once the tiling was complete, it was time to bring the whole room to life with a vibrant coat of green paint! While some might think a completely green laundry room is a bold choice, I believe it creates a unique and energising atmosphere that makes doing laundry feel a little less mundane. 🌿
With the walls looking fresh and lively, I painted the custom cabinetry and the back door white to keep things bright and welcoming. I topped off the cabinetry with stylish shelving for added storage and organisation.
To elevate the space even more, I cut down and installed a beautiful wood bench, which perfectly combines functionality with aesthetic appeal.
To finish the transformation, I meticulously filled any holes, applied a clear gloss to the timber surfaces for a polished look, and used silicone caulking to create a seamless finish.
I also styled the space with decor pieces that reflect my personality, proving that a laundry room can be both practical and fabulous!
In the end, this laundry room makeover showcases how you can create a beautiful yet functional space on a budget. From custom cabinetry and eye-catching tiles to a bold paint choice, this transformation is a testament to what you can achieve with a little creativity and determination.
