In this video we build the saucer including installing the clear parts and lights. We do a basic non aztec'd paint job on it to compare with the eventual aztec decals we'll use when we complete the build

This was very helpful. The instructions didnt seem to configure the lower saucer lights correctly. I thought there was not enough wire to go around but took a look at your configuration and it works perfectly. Really appreciate the detail you put into your videos. Will be posting a link to your channel when I publish my video of this build

Man all that work to paint the saucer rings and have it all undone by the decals. Also how did you fog the saucer domes and bridge window and did you have to mask those along with the bussard domes and nacelle grills when you did your finishing clear coat?

Looks good! Although I’m curious how it will look with the Aztecing decals from the set that’s sold separately.

Here's a video kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2XQnZ55ocSnibM where you can see the true color of the LEDs, they are cool white and not blue. For the fogged parts I used a product Tmaiya calls "flat base" it's something you can add to a paint to make it flat and not gloss, but it's not a paint. You can add it to clear acrylic to make a foggy color.

Why are the lights blue?

What did you use to fog the clear parts on the bridge dome?

You are doing an incredible job! Do you have any insight if Polar Lights will be releasing a supplemental Aztec decal set in the near future for this? Or, am I not paying attention and you have already mentioned it already :)?
@BSGNUT4 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. I did see you quickly answered that in your first unboxing video. Do you have insight on when they will release the supplemental sheets though?

@@BSGNUT I think it might just be a few weeks behind the model kit. Not a very long wait.

@@allscaletrek Do you mix Tamiya Flat Base 50/50 with a clear? What's the ratio?
