Using this method it isn’t locked, if you purchase the locking, it locks behind the driveshaft at front of the engine.

Think he's asking if the lower crank pulley is keyed with a woodruff key. Presume this is the case as you wouldn't just undo the crank pulley bolt.

@jamiepaton5449 the crank locks upto The locking tool in back of the engine block then is secured by flywheel once starter motor is removed. All using the correct locking tools.

After that, the engine had vibrations that was not normal? I ask you this, because in all tutorials and in the repair manual specified that you need to undo and change the timing cam shafts bolts. And someone told me that if you do not do this the engine will have vibrations, that are not normal. I my opinion if I use the lock devices, that I have or your method, I don't need to undo those bolts. I'm very curious about why you need to undo them. Thanx and good job.

I think to properly tension the cambelt and to set correct timing as the right side of engine is locked + crank locked, I have heard many say. These engines are sensitive to timing and when done at the VW dealer, needs also a VAS 611 007 tool - timing setting with computer, very expensive. But I think it is doable without exact timing, this can in rare cases cause problems with fuel efficiency and worse, cam timing correlation fault (check engine light) I also think about this to do the belt/tensioner change myself because my belt is 180000 km but the age is 11 so I fear for engine damages if not changed. EVEN if the belt looks very good... the damage can be inside the rubber. But a little bit scared. Maybe change the belt myself and if I need, for example see any problems do the VAS 611 007 process at VW dealer...
