Thanks Ben and Nora. I’m so pleased you like my efforts. I initially only created the forward grandstaircase because it can easily be seen. But the aft staircase not so much. However I have been asked to design some other areas so these could be in the pipeline. Yes PDF instructions will be available free on the website. Also don’t forget I will be soon be making it available the resin staircase and columns. My prototypes are on the way from shapeways.

Nora looks stunned by the photo-etch, literally( either that or the paint fumes 😉😉). It's the curates egg of whether you open her up to show the PE (Just like Airfix's Shackleton's flight deck) or not. Me I'd be reaching for the dremel...

A little correction. The pipe running under A-deck should not be hidden by the A-deck sides. Only the beams should be hidden behind. The way Elixander has done it is the correct way.

Bonjour ,pourrais tu me dire ou trouver des personnages au 1/200 pour habiller ma maquette Titanic ,une boutique en ligne ou autre ,Merci !

You might have had more luck with a post in English.😁 If my night-school French from forty years ago still works, you're looking for a supplier(online, or otherwise) of 1:200 scale passengers for 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 Titanic build. I can't help you myself but, if folks see the translation, someone will surely know.

Seeing all this has meWorking flat out too finish the Trumpeter Rodney, I'm really chomping at the Bit too get started on the Titanic build.

Hi guys, that PE is really nice! I just had a thought, maybe kind of corny, but I was thinking how cool it would be to put a really small WIFI camera somewhere inside the ship so that you could pull up the interior on a cell phone or tablet to show people all the cool interiors you are adding. See you guys next time.
@2H80vids2 жыл бұрын
That could be pretty cool and probably unique. Maybe a bit of a waste of a camera but, with what this kit is costing, probably one of the cheaper "extras".😁
@dominicksoldano15322 жыл бұрын
Ben, That will look incredible. Is there any way to make part of the decks removable so you can see all of the detail close up? I haven’t started mine yet but given this detail I’m toying with doing some spaces as a partial cut away. Maybe cut away on one side so that from the port side you see the complete superstructure but from the starboard side you see cut aways showing off full interior detail. Dominick
@TheMidwestModelShop2 жыл бұрын
Hey Dominick, that’s what I would do for the “ultimate” model. Keep port side whole and open up the starboard side.
@guylo882 жыл бұрын
Even though all this detail is going to be covered you should deffinately photograph the interior details extensively and display them with the build. all that work should be appreciated even if it cant be seen.

@@TheMidwestModelShop Great idea. Maybe frame up a few shots of the 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 interior, with pictures of the model interior alongside for comparison.

You should check out Titanic Honor and Glory. There a upcoming Titanic game that features some of the most historical accurate interior recreations, and may help you figure out what colors you need for these areas

Love your content, the detailed modeling and the thought process with regard to non kit parts, and order of assembly. Also love the stories about the people on board the Titanic, courtesy of the Mrs. Would you consider building the USS Yorktown CV-5? Easily the best of the early war carriers. From it's excellent leadership, admiral Fletcher and captain Buckmaster, commanders Arnold and Pederson to the men flying and maintaining both the airplanes and the ship itself. Best wishes for 2022, stay safe.
@TheMidwestModelShop2 жыл бұрын
The Yorktown or Enterprise are high on the list for “next”. Also the USS Fletcher destroyer. But in 1:200 scale IF Trumpeter is actually making it like my contact there claims they are doing.

I agree with Nora that it is a shame that once the ship is assembled the full mastery of Neal's ( sp?✌) attention to detail with be almost lost. 😟 Speaking of lost what happened to the Batmobile?

WOW....you should have done a "cutaway". I know it would cost A LOT more and take a ton of time but it would have been worth it...

I know! Right!? But here we are. Hopefully someone will say “that’s a good idea” and make a series out of it for everyone. The Model Boat Guy’s build is the closest thing to it. He’s done a great job with the interior of his build.
