It was epic bee timing 🤪 But the baking soda worked a treat and I didn’t sweep too badly thankfully!

There could be so many factors as to why the bees are being more aggressive. How is their honey supply? Colony size? Overcrowded and overpopulated hives can cause aggression. Do you have any pests like mice or raccoons or other animals that might make the bees feel threatened? Mites are also a huge issue that causes them to become extremely aggressive. Seasonal changes can also cause them to swarm but you’re in the middle of summer so not sure that is a contributor. We no longer have a hive but had one almost 11 years ago now and that was our experience and what I learned

Thank you for all those suggestions! I'm going to go in and split them this weekend and give them more room I think - or add another super and see if that helps. We don't have any pests and I haven't seen any mites but I need to check again. I'm going to run through everything! I have heard other people here say the weather has generally unsettled bees with all the rain last month so potentially it's something more widespread like that but I need to figure it out or I don't know that I can keep them in the garden which would be devastating!!

Thanks for taking us through a tour. I always see the IG posts but this longer version is better ❤

Thanks for this video, I think you linked where you got your seeds to grow your veg from but I missed it and can't find it now. Where do you get the seeds from?

They’re all from Vital Seeds - my fave got being uk grown, organic, open pollinated and I find the “shop by month” really helpful for actually knowing what to get!

Thank you! We were lucky to move in after a really great gardener lived there. And they’re khaki Campbells with a white cherry ballet drake.

Wow, those bees! My allotment has hives which are next to my neighbours plot and they are plagued by them and also allergic to their stings, which are frequent. I say get rid of them as the honey is just not worth it and honey bees can compete with native bees. I am also not a honey fan. If I was then I may think differently.🍯😂

Oh no they shouldn’t be stinging them all the time - do they know the owners to be able to talk to them and see why it’s happening? We’ve only had a few stings in years with bees - and some down to a broken bee suit - which is more how it should be! They’re usually very gentle unless you hurt them or you’re in the hive.
