it's only been 5 months since the last season of worth it, and I'm sure with all the layoffs it's been a bit chaotic behind the scenes.

@@foreveryeung52 The layoffs happened in January - this was probably edited around that time. I think the time off and last season being shorter is good, because their chemistry is back. Last time you could see Andrew trying to cheer Steven up. Now they have things sorted out.

I think one of the beautiful things about these boxes is that it's obviously involving many wonderful (and I assume local) craftsmen. It feels like you're buying a beautiful part of the region, made by many people. That's really wonderful.

Yeah they where once a dollar. They used to also sell ham sandwiches at Walmart for a dollar now they cost 2 dollars my local gas station has ham sandwiches for 3 and 4 dollars. How the hell did a processed ham sandwich end up costing more than a burger from the dollar menu.

It's really only worth it because the ingredients are rare and include GOLD. You could probably find similar taste elsewhere for much cheaper. However, I would buy the box itself for $100 easy. It's beautiful.

Steven is always so gracious and generous with the crew. I will say it must be weird and torturous and such a tease for the crew to watch them eat first lol 😂 That luxury bento box looks so good and pretty!!! I also live for seeing Adam’s expressions at the end. He is a man of few words but says a lot with his looks lol.

Now THIS is worth it. At least more than the 2000 dollars pizza imo. Hell, i will pay 500 dollars for the cloth and the box. They are magnificent. Wrap normal bento in it and people will still trust you even if u said its the original 1593 dollars bento.

I love how the expensive foods they try in Japan is high valued because they're delicately handcrafted, has some sorta local wisdom in it, and the food makers treat their job like an art. They're not expensive just because of gold/truffle/fancy modern restaurant. So it's like, you're not just paying for food, you're paying for art.

See, if they get to keep everything that comes with this (the box, fabric etc) then it seems more worth it than the $1000 meals that have nothing come with it. Also, the amount of food, compared to some dishes that are like one mouthful and then you're done

It's basically just boxed lunch. The difference is in the culture of preparing it. People get creative when putting the meals together and that plus the presentation is what sets them apart.

What i love about them is their relationship. They bite on the same spot where other bit on it . Or they eat their left over. That means they are sharing saliva and thats how comfortable they are w each other. Reminds me of my friends back home.
