🤯🤯Okay... this was eye opening frrrrrrrrrshhuuurrrrrr!!!! First.. OMFG, THAT SH1T IS LIKE A POWDERY PLAYPEN!!!! (in some ways lethal for any unsealed electronics/bearings/joints) As tempting as that would be.. I personally do not think I would be playing around there. Or at least never take my nice/high end RC's there! That place would be reserved as a "test facility" (in some ways the same as a skate park). Holy maceral those OEM arms really are glass! That thing in stock form truly cannot take any off balance-wonky hits from any height w/o breaking something! Arrma, or (whomever is OEM-ing the plastic parts) really should, and still does clearly need to soften up their mixture/blend so that their plastics have a little more flex to them! Traxxas seems to have recently realllly gotten this right! I would almost swear they have changed the plastic formula for 2022. Some of the XRT hits where you would swear they should have been broken.. they DIDNT! I mean, taking a landing on a rear corner to where the rear arm flexes all the way into the bottom side of the chassis/vehicle then comes back to true. Its unbelievable!

KZbin may hide it from the comments though. I do not know if you saw it. Curious, what is your current, or all time favorite RC to take out an thrash around? Hyper MTX? Losi Tenacity? You own soooo many good ones, I am curious what the favorites are!

I’ve been trying to decide on a Kraton 8s or DBXL-E. Leaning towards the Losi since it’s more of a scalpel, whereas the Kraton is a blunt-force basher 🤔🤔

I decided to go with the 8s exb Notorious roller. I just love my 6s, but turning it into an on road hot rod. So I am replacing it with the big boy. What are your thoughts on the firma 8s set up or is the max 8 just that much better?

For a fifth scale you definitely don't want to go with a Max 8 Way too small and the RC is too heavy You might be meaning a max 6 or a Max 5. I have not had very good luck with spectrum sometimes it's good sometimes it's not primarily with the larger fifth scales braking is an issue As some of the firma software cannot figure out reverse versus brake and a programmer doesn't seem to help much.

I've heard of boiling arms etc but I've never done it myself. I guess it somewhat melts the plastic which makes the materials bond back together stronger 🤔 Kinda like heat treating metal 🤔

Hey man I been debating on getting the Kraton 8s, my question is all the ones you buy new have the chassis upgrades only place I can find one is amazon it’s BLX with dx3 remote but it says nothing about the second version upgraded chassis supports? Actually even the websites that are on back order don’t show the updated chassis in their pictures. Little confused?

I'd say at this point your best option is to find one at a hobby shop but if you have to get it from Amazon make sure it has free returns The BLX is just what's written on the box It doesn't necessarily mean that it has the actual BLX system at this point in time could be an old dusty box 😂🤣 but I doubt it

I have a Kraton 1/5 EXB with the Castle XLX2 and 1100KV motor for 4 months. The thing just shreds! So much power! But you do need a lot of room to let it shred. So far I have only broken the right front lower arm. It was my fault. I hit an unseen rock at 50+ mph. 👍👍

A Kraton 8s is definitely not a 5th scale! 🤣 It's a 6th scale at best.. Once you set your eyes on an actual 5th scale sized rc, like a 5ive-T or something, I guarantee...you'll never call a Kraton a 5th scale again...facts!

Yeah here's the deal though isn't scale relative to what the vehicle size would be in full scale real scale that's why everybody is so confused no one seems to understand what the word scale means.
