I think I fell in love around part 3 Karen. People need to watch this to learn how to teach , beyond learning music. Teaching is your true skill. Lucky for us its music you teach.

The title should be "1-6-2-5-1" in case you are confused by the typo error.

I’m already very familiar with this but the way you presented the concepts through the video was lovely. I know all too well how tricky it can be to go from one concept to the next in order to get the final, most rewarding, point across. Something many people haven’t a clue about for each individual part before hand and therefore have difficulty if you try to drop the big point on their head as it seems completely foreign. The no wrong note and the demonstration of it was also lovely. This made my morning happy and I’m enthusiastic to get back to playing more haha.

Great teaching. Only one wish; is it possible to correct the error in the title to 1-6-2-5-1 (the 2 and 5 are in the wrong order) as Karen herself demonstrates? Avoids a little unnecessary confusion, particularly for those who haven't seen the previous videos in the series. Thanks

kinda hard to play trance on an organ, but these chord and melody principles can easily be used to write melodic trance. just use trance style beats and arrangement instead of folk/blues. and synthesizers of course.

"You're never more than one note away from the right note." I read this stated by Tiny Moore, a Bob Wills mandolin player, years ago. As I recall he said "If you hit the wrong note, slide down one fret."

Perfection is overrated. I think different music styles were invented by "mistakes". On guitar if you hit a wrong note you can slide up or down one step.
