Im currently building a 2002 golf gti 337 with a 1.8t. The car was built previously and has a few upgrades like billet engine mounts, forged rods, upgraded intercooler. Im looking to make 350-400hp and was wondering approximately how much money this will cost me. Thanks
@COMotorsports4 жыл бұрын
All depends on what turbo selection, software, and fueling you go with.

I couldn't tell ya what it'll cost either , but if you haven't played with vws before you might wanna get ready for some sticker shock. Down the road here , I have a project of putting a 2.0pd in a mk1 golf , and I want ALL of the horsepowers and I heard that getting close to 350 out of one of those is probably gonna be like 6-8-10k, I'm kinda afraid to ask. Because, well, if you have to ask what it costs you probably can't swing it 😆 Might sound like I'm rippin em a little , no way. I've been into em since the 90s and I've spent alotta money and had alot of fun along the way. I don't regret it , the VW community is a bunch of cool folks.

MrHillfolk im gonna be building this over the course of the next year so im not too worried about cost was just wondering
@MrTheHillfolk4 жыл бұрын
@@jakewalter373 If I hadda guess , I'd say 5k at least but probably a bunch more. and then depending on how much you can do yourself , which sounds like you're gonna be doing most of it. Maybe try and not think of the cost , just set aside a big pile of money and see how far it goes because sometimes those numbers can be scary. But the best part is when ya floor it and it works and puts that smile on your face.
