I have a mk4 GTIsitting on the side of the house with a 67mm Garrett and all the supporting mods& water/meth. I just wasn't ever able to get it happy it was so finicky. Watching your videos has inspired me to give it another run. Really like when you get into engine management I'm always learning something new. Great channel 👏

Totally agree. I miss my '91 gli with a fully built AAA swap. Very clean mk4. Looks close to mint from here. It definitely needs a cooler to address the heat soak, and of course some poly mounts, especially a dog bone from the looks of the engine rock. Only thing I despise about them is the stupid pcv setup and the emissions junk. With a real catch can and emissions junk gone, they are a great bang for buck powerplant. The gli's are getting more and more rare around here. It's nice to see more three pedal cars and not all dsg's. Clean looking caddy in the next bay over. Do I spy a 24v swap in there? Its tough to see on this beat up phone.

love the build! did you say actual timing was 5 to 8 degrees after it pulled due to heat etc? I think you said 91 octane it was running realizing its limited due to octane. guessing 93 octane @ 20 psi 10 to 12 degrees what tuning software do you guys use? First pull (cool) it was pulling 5-8* out during the pull. More after it got heat in it as you can tell by the results from the dyno runs. This currently has Uni, we will be changing that.

Awesome video !! Im kinda bummed and cant believe a stage 2 pushing 21 psi is only 180whp...really thought it was going to be about 220-230whp.....with that beeing said ive the seen the K04-001's push about 230-250whp and the the K04 hybrids push about 260whp+ like (F21 Frankenturbo)....

K04's are useless on this engine IMO, I've yet to see anything in person make any sort of power... maybe 230whp. Definitely no K04 1.8T's making 260whp around here. As for the power this car makes... as mentioned at the beginning I was sort of expecting around this power so not much of a surprise to me. We're talking real world results, not fudged hail marry dyno numbers.

Joshua C. My car made 268whp at 24 psi whit a gt2860rs on 94 Oct and Unitronic bt tune.Last time i went on a dyno my car made 310whp whit the same tune but whit a gt3076r at 22psi.Now im running 26 psi whit new stuf on the setup! Great video!🤘🏻

Mines currently running 3" turbo back, 007 diverter, sai, ecs stg3 coil conversion, stg3 clutch with a 10lb flywheel, full ac/emissions delete, stg2+ tune with a modified k03 peaks at 23lbs just waiting for my cts fmic. Fun car to pick on the local honda boys.

Lots of things that come into factor. The first being what mods the vehicle currently has. If it's stock you need to consider things like exhaust, intercooler, and clutch... and the stock stuff won't handle your power requirements.

Depends on the software you're running. Some increase fuel with an increase in fuel pressure. So it all depends on the correct software and correct FPR to match. It would not be wise to run a K04 on completely stock fueling.
