i had a seized delphi injector in my 1.4 hdi when doing the washers, after a lot of swearing and two days of slamming it using an intertia puller it came out... was pretty chuffed about that, but this is on a whole new level lol

Is there any risk of welding the injector to the head, or is that not possible due to metal differences?, what about warping the head? I have tried just about everything on the bottom part of injectors on my 2006 grand vitara. 2.0hdi RHZ engine. Ready to stuff the welder down there and make it glow red, i have more than the sleeve left though, the whole last 3-4cm. The middle part does not tap out by hitting or pressing from the inside.

It's a nightmare. There's always some risk. A die grinder with long reach can do it.....takes a couple of hours tho. Welding is more for when you are able to remove the full inside first with just the shell left

Im left with the last bit you removed but with head still on. I guess welding help to break the bond and losen the shell

Yeah or using the die grinder to weaken the bond 1st. Just have to try.

On these in injectors even if most attempts fail. Using a die grinder will eventually get them out. Just a tedious job.

You have all the potential to have your KZbin channel grow in a big way... you should think about that.. abit more info.. step by step of what you are doing.. better camera angles so we can see everything you are doing and well edited videos.. you have the more than the knowledge required.. step by step videos on how to work on motors without fancy expensive tools.. That’s ChrisFix MO and 6 million subscribers.. oh and enthusiasm!!

I watched your m32 gearbox rebuild you covered 95 % of what I need to know.. still unsure about how to press the bearings and gears off and the bearing shimming.. is there any way you can know without putting it all together first.. (btw get yourself a poxy slide hammer kit they’re £40) if you even monitor your KZbin channel please enlighten me!

@@georgegalpin7352 Hey man thanks for the great comments. I'm still green at all the making video stuff etc. With regards to shimming the gearbox unfortunately you have to fit the bearing shells, shafts and fit case to confirm clearance etc. Its not the best design. I have my own shop press now so it's much easier than going down to a local garage.

Fuck, this isn't what I wanted to hear, I've just changed my cylinder head and found this problem, I was hoping I could cheat and screw the old bit back in and slide hammer it, looks like I'll need a new head gasket if I'm to take the block off again 🤦🏼‍♀️ Edit for typos

@@BeeKisses if the van doesn't leak oil from the rear main seal sometimes it's cheaper and easier to buy a good condition used head and get some good used injectors....on the 1.9 many different models on 1.9 work and dont need to be coded in to run. Sometimes can find good injectors for 35£ each

@@boosthit811 it's the part you snap off in the vid to weld the bolt to the rest of it that's come off Inside it, I've cleared my work area too so I can't get the other bit and re-screw it either Edit: it's an 02 Octavia, I already waxed 140 on a new head unit, it had injectors in it but I took stuff out to sand it flush
