Honestly you are one of the most resourceful art youtubers. My gut reaction when seeing the saturated brush markers you picked up was fear, expecting the piece you drew to look pretty incohesive because of the colour scheme but the way you tested all those techniques to find a way to make the colours work is super inspiring. I can’t wait until I have free time to revisit my water based markers 😁

those supplies do much better on better paper. The markers are basically water color markers, and a water brush works with them as well. I love those pens, they are so juicy. They were a lot of fun during Inktober

Even though expensive supplies really help and make a difference, in the long run it’s you doing the art! Expensive supplies can’t make you a better artist, only you can! Cutting the paper isn't cheating. For a dollar those brush markers aren't bad. Dipping the brushes in water was a good idea. It makes the colors softer and they blended better. I liked the black background better with the bit of white left. It didn't look weird. It actually worked well with the movement of her hair.

The Jot/Dollar Tree brand, of watercolor strip is fun to play with. It's got a creamy white, whereas the Crayola strip has a brown. I love their 4-pack sets of Promarx glitter gel pens, and neon gel-pens. You did just great with what you got. Thanx, Mindy

You know you can use a nail file block thingy to sand shiny poster board so you can paint on it? I can't remember who thought that one up, but i think it was Rae ( SuperRaeDizzle). Gotta love the dollar store. My daughter just bought me 2 packs of the curest canvas boards from there and i didn't even know they carried them, now maybe i won't be afraid to use one haha I don't mind messing up 33 cents or even 50 cents. ( they come 2 and 3 to a pack ) 🤗

I have most of those supplies Dollar tree also carries Drawing pads Watercolor pads. Sometimes just have to watch for them they are by the pencil's. I love those markers I have bought them several times to use for grandkids to do a project. They really lasted quite awhile for a buck. 😃 thanks for always doing fun things in your video's makes my day. ❤

I have those brush pens, I’ll try the dip in water method you showed here. I may use them on good paper as well. I’d like to try to get a good result. Maybe I’ll also use a waterbrushpen with plain water to help quickly blend out. Fun video thanks!

You should try Touchnew markers!! They blend SO WELL I love them so much!! I think they would be a perfect marker for you! You can search them on amazon not sure if they have them some where else but they are really good markers and I’m 100% sure that you’ll LOVE these markers
