Hi Brita, You make this really fun and I like all the designs you made. I especially love the toile you placed on the back ❣️❣️❣️ I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. 🥰 Chris

Thank you so much Chris. I am so happy to hear that you like all the designs. I had a large piece of the toile left over from a different project so I though it would work well having a simple two color fabric on the back to contrast with the colorful front. 💕💕

Been doing this for years... I sew on the right and then the left and then finger press . They make pretty good pot holders also. I did one set with 6 different layouts. A different layout for each mat. It made a pretty set.

Hi Brita, what a fun so easy and quick pattern and the very best, it shrinks your scraps. I really love your ideas and for the next time I have to make some new placemats I will try one of your pattern, or may be all in different layouts 🤔 I have to think 😃 many greetings ❤

Just rec'd your e-mail re: this video and wanted to give a bit of feedback. For some of us tht have been sewing/quilting for literal decades😮 not all videos provide something new and unique. This is just one of those redundant topics for us; however, I know there are plenty of new and newish quilters/sewers that will enjoy this content. I think it's smart to offer things that cover a variety of skill levels.

I need to buy a new machine. What machine are you using? I really wanted the Juki nx7 but I read that the throat plate (straight stitch and multiple stitch plate gives users problems). Any advice is greatly appreciated.
@QuestioningQuilter Жыл бұрын
I am a Bernina girl so I can't really compare to the other brands. The machine I had before the Bernina was an inexpensive Sears model my mom bought me when I was in college (quite a while ago). That said, I absolutely love my Bernina. I do have two throat plates. One with the wide opening for the needle for ziz-zag stitches and a single hole one that I use for quilting. But changing the throat plate is zero effort. Push at the corner and it pops up at an angle. Take it off and snap the new one in place. I hope that this helps.
@mike1968442 Жыл бұрын
Maybe I’m mistaken but I just that 12” throat space. I sincerely appreciate the input. I haven’t looked at them but will today. Hope you had a wonderful New Year! Many blessings to you.
@QuestioningQuilter Жыл бұрын
Yeah, the throat space on all the machines make quilting a very large quilt more challenging. It does look like the Juki might have a slightly larger throat space, but you would have to check. If you are just looking for something for quilting, all the manufacturers have sit-down long arms (they don't take up as much room as the big frame models). Bernina has a 16" and 20" model.
