Does that mean there are two tubes inserted into the patient's mouth, one for helping them breathe and another to make an incision " on the mouth " for the laparoscopic surgery? That is confusing and it does not make sense.

You're correct, it is confusing. It is actually 2 tubes, one in the mouth to help the patient breathe and another tube through an incision in the belly.

Wild guess here, but if I had to bet it is due to a lack of practice. Now that interpreters are becoming mainstream and everybody and their momma is using them, it is rare now to get segments this long, as opposed to 6 years ago when this original video was posted. I am out of practice too due to this fact, I don't know how I would fare if I tried it now.

How would YOU interpret her saying "nunca me han dormido con anestesia? Just regular old "put to sleep?" I'm stumped. That sounds as if she's going to be euthanized, like you would do with a dying pet. Is there somewhere where you have scripts of these exercises but with a suggested interpretation?

Hi, that is the beauty of language, one word or phrase can have different meanings. This time we would use the literal meaning of “put to sleep” for this translation. Hi! I would say "they've never put me under (anesthesia) before" or "I've never gone under (anesthesia)." "Put under" or "go under" is the non-euthanasia phrasing. Of course, if you said "put to sleep," the doctor would know what you meant from context, and you could probably catch even a native speaker using that phrasing.
