You should be in Hollywood doing set and prop design. You're very creative and inspiring. Thank you.

Spectacular look to the outside of your workshop Gene. Great job covering up 90% of the mistakes you claim to have made on the cupola. Anyway, who's going to know but you. You also saved a ton of $$$ on labor! Everything looks great. Can't wait to see the inside when you set up shop.

@@DIYGene I'm sure you will set it up well with all your neat tools. Remember way back when they had the ShopSmith? It was like 5 tools in one, table saw drill press etc. Great idea for a small shop but terrible if you forget to do things and have to set up over and over again cause you forgot to drill one hole lol. Maybe you're not that old. lol A real neat dust collection system would be a plus in there..
@DIYGene2 ай бұрын
Oh yes I remember the Shopsmith. I thought it was a cool idea, but you are right about setting up for each tool. Maybe it made you be a little more organized in your process. LOL. I have already moved stuff in because I know I will rearrange several times to get how I want it. I will do an 18’ bench with the mightier saw set up. I fact I already have done that. 🤪

That cupola looks fantastic. I built one about 30 years ago for my garage. I used copper on the roof. If I remember correctly, it was kind of expensive back then. I wish I was smart enough to think about using spray paint, but I do like the patina on it that was achieved with age. I can't wait to see what you're going to do with the inside. Keep up with a fantastic work

Thanks Tim, this has been a really fun project. I think this painting on the cupola will hold up well. It’s that hammered copper paint from Rustoliom. I have used it in the can, but this is my first time using the spray. Using real copper would be cool. The green oxidation would be nice. Any ideas the interior?

Great video. Question, how did you get the correct scale when building the CUPLA?. I want to build one but don’t want it to look too big or too small when looking at it from the ground. Thank you again.
@DIYGeneАй бұрын
Hello Bob, Great question, I actually took a picture of the shed with my phone then added a box on top, then played with the size until I was happy how it looked. Like you, I didn’t want it over powering. If you don’t have a program like photoshop, you could just print the photo and cut the box out of paper until you find the right size. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
