I’ve stayed off FB and IG for 2 years! Never thought I’d do it. Once I stopped logging on I realised how much time was wasted reading about other egos and their lives. And their ‘poor me’ posts attention seeking etc. and I realised I don’t need to know what 500 People are doing on a daily basis, and instead focus on myself! Put all the energy there ❤

When you sit back and look at the bigger picture of social media you begin to see that it can actually make you depressed or inadequate. That is because most people lie about what they post. Besides periodically listening to some YT podcasts and glancing through my X feed I haven't gotten myself into any other kind of social media.

She's a doctor and frequently on call So if she can find time the rest of us can surely do it! I think you misunderstood, it's not necessary to have an assistant. You can stay off of your personal social media accounts and still do your job... smh Walking or runnimg in Nature, working out or doing hobbies is possible. Do it in the morning, at lunch or after work & is extremely helpful in balancing and relieving stress hormones. Stop making excuses and improve your life now! It's short and may be the only one we get!!!

Funny she mentioned Cabbage after weight training because I've always wondered why polish guys in the gym seem to have better body's. Cabbage is a staple in the polish diet. Might mean nothing but its an interesting thought.

I could listen to this but I am having issues with the mouth-smack sounds. Is anyone else with me? Particularly Tara :-) In the videos I release I use software that gets rid of the mouth sounds as Im aware that it does make people tune out of videos
@floriaabney31469 ай бұрын
I didn't notice any "mouth smacking sounds," and if they are there, I don't believe they're strong enough to keep most people from watching the video. There are a lot of comments on here, and out of the ones I've read, you're the only one who mentioned it. Maybe someone else did and I just didn't see it but I doubt it.🤷🏽♀️

Ditto…. if/when you look for something you will invariably find it. I, too, didn’t notice it until it was called out. I suspect it’s a pet peeve or a trigger of sorts, and we all have them. It’s SO hard to unring or in this case unhear the bell, but I am constantly working on it, so as not to throw the baby out with the bath water bc I miss way too much of what’s good/helpful/positive by focusing on what isn’t. IMHO - this simple habit gets in the way of so much personal growth. It’s also a one of the biggest roadblocks to self improvement. XOXO

You’re thinking what I am thinking. Dr Tara -as doctor to turn her phone off for weeks.sounds selfish and avoiding the reality. Self control and moderate use works for me.
@janny.p6 ай бұрын
No! Definitely not thinking that. Don't put words in my mouth, please! She may be a doctor, but she has the right to do whatever she wants in her free time. Doctors are not your moma, to be there 24/7. Show some respect!
@chrisherd780711 ай бұрын
Dr Tara As a psychotherapist, I worry that your statement about children also needing to experience hardships can be misunderstood by well meaning but misunderstanding parents. There are societies that do indeed actively cultivate this aspect. Sadly, many do this in a disconnected and heartless manner, leaving the children overwhelmed the experience and full of shame. It is important for children not to experience this amount of overwhelm and shame. Instead the children should be guided through hardship, noticing Mindfullness how the hardship feels and effects them, with a loving amd respectful adult acknowledging them all the way. The hardship is an opportunity to both ackmowledge that life is like this, but also that the journey in itself is rewarding, if we cultivate that mindset. This will help safe gaurd the children from dopamin addiction.
