Fun fact: in the book, one of the incidents that has led Bell to conclude that the world is getting worse is the recent murder of a federal judge. He is referring to a real life murder perpetrated by Woody Harrelson’s father.

I don't know if that's "fun" per se, but interesting. I wonder if Woody being cast was a huge coincidence or the Coens being darkly mischievous.

One of the few films I remember that deconstructs the notion that a protagonist has "plot armor" and nothing unfortunate will happen to them before the story is over.

I'd legit forgotten this was even coming out. It'll likely be one I put off til the next sale. I already have several editions of Fargo but I'm surprised that hasn't made it to Criterion still.

That’s because Shout Factory has the rights to the film now. Fargo may never come to the Criterion Collection because of Shout Factory.

Daisuke, I just got this after a delay. The supplements are a little weak, but having this finally in my hands more then makes up for it. I'm going to catch up on the other videos after this one.

I admit I was a bit disappointed about the transfer. But I know the film has a dissaturated look, so that's how it should be.
