its easily just feel, i learned 90% of meshuggah's catalogue, i listen to them a lot, (48k minutes last year), and honestly its just like remembering any other song. I dont even think about whats gonna come next I just know. And surely these guys who meticulously construct these sonic behemoths tirelessly pratice to perfect them. So yeah, Im pretty sure its just feel after the 100th play. I used to struggle counting the 77535 (part after 2:30) in Bleed, but after a year of playing it, i dont have to count in my head at all.

I remember watching one of your videos about Immutable 2 years ago and we both agreed in the comments that we weren't moved so much by this song, that it was among the weak ones. Two years later I'm happy as hell that they've added it to the set as it's now one of my favorites and you're doing a video about it. What a great tune to take 2 years to grow like that.

My favorite track off the new album and one of my favorites in general, love how the pattern just smashing through each section unchecked gives most of the transitions a lurching, unsteady feel. You'd think it would make things lock in more but it has the opposite effect, probably since we're "properly" feeling the full polymeter instead of the 4/4 half asserting dominance every few bars. Hope this isn't a one-off writing gimmick, they definitely need to explore this approach more in the future.
