I made a training set up for this. Just a simple bar with an adjustable height; as you lower the bar the one handed pushup gets harder and harder until you're on the floor. Then start using the bar to do one handed pushups with elevated legs. Really good deep burn in the chest.
@devilhunterred10 жыл бұрын
Haha this is brilliant!! I have been wondering how to do one arm push ups for ages. I can do perfect form 2 hand push ups like 90-100 non stop no problem, but i can't even do one 1 arm push up. Now I'm gonna try this out. Thanks!

*I can NOT do 1 finger pushups but i can do 3 finger pushups.* *Not many but i dont care, i make up for it by being able to do 45 one arm pushups legs spread apart, and 20 straight lined pushups with the other arm behind my back.* 🤷
@splashmanrobloxian18696 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna give you some advice before doing this. (I am a beginner as well, but I've been practicing my technique for about 1-2 hours) 1. Keep your back straight 2. Take a deep breathe and strengthen your core 3. Tighten your ass 4. Make sure your elbow isn't going outwards to the right or left as shown in the video. Make sure your position is correct. 5. Even if your body cracks you gotta keep going, and don't stop because if you can do 50-60 pushups without stopping, believe me. You can do this. 6. Take turns on your arms. If you only do your right arm (or left) it can cause muscle dis balance. After doing this for 1-2 hours. I've finally got 1 down. My technique isn't polished and my back bends a little as I come up, but I'm going to continue tomorrow when my strength is back. I believe I can do at least 5!

I started practice using the wall by doing a one arm wall pushup,and for a little more advance move feet more back also do one arm pushup using a counter,then couple weeks of doing that I do side ways push up which is one of the arms fully straight and most the weight on one arm then I also hold my body weight with one arm then hold on the bottom

Yeah, if you do it sideways, the elbow cartilage will get injured, and it will takes months to heal. But this is definitely a good technique, I am going to focus on this way. It is sort of encouraging that Thomas is or was when this video was made, not able to do to fingers, as it shows they are still developing.

I came up with the sliding hand in front, too, because i was doing archer push-ups before that put too much stress and little help in keeping a proper form. And the most important thing about one-armed pushups is to always keep a proper form. This exercise is highly damaging to your elbows and shoulder if you dont!!
