When you showed the audio examples, my mind _immediately_ started visualising some of my characters in their fitting scenes such as the brother of one of the most important characters of the world's lore/story as the Doofguyva audio played which - is just auditory proof of that advice baha! And as for the topic of the genre - a lot of my stories usually have at least some form of horror, fantasy, sci-fi and so on! Usually with a consistent theme of things related to trauma, mental health, things related to being neurodivergent - as I myself am an autistic person that grew up feeling out of place in the world at times and was phychologically traumatised by school. And basically had a mini arc of my own of trying to fix the damage that was basically done and had some trial and errors of the aftermath it left on me. _But at least_ I dont have to deal with the threat of a distorted illness caused by a literal parasitic goopy hivemind alongside its puppet monsters - unlike some of my unfortunate characters. 💀 (Thats ocs for ya.🤷)

I love that you were able to visualize your characters from that audio! Doofguy's pretty good. Kind of popular but also niche among artists and writers. I relate hard to feeling out of place or alien in school but getting to use it for stories is almost worth it 👌

Okay so I was watching for entertainment but you goaded me back into working on a project of mine lmaoo. I’m gonna drop a tip that helped me tons. One of the biggest contributors to a fantasy romance I'm brainstorming about was knowledge of the culture wheel. The culture wheel contains aspects of what makes up a culture and society. Culture wheel: values, greater community, knowledge and stories, language, tradition and rituals, techniques and skills, tools and objects, the arts, lastly, food and drink. It GREATLY helped my worldbuilding improve. Imo it's much easier to envision characters and creatures, but people are products of their environment. Having knowledge of what a character's surroundings, community and culture are like helps a lot. Leaving this here for anyone who might benefit from this information. Also, I gotta start listening to more voice actor samples cause the one's you showed helped A LOT. Great tip!

I've heard of something kind of similar to the culture wheel called the five visitors! You basically imagine five people from our world who just arrived to the fictional one you're creating. And they're each interested/studying different things that will help you think on the setting and flesh it out. The historian (the world's history) The Diplomat (the world's politics, alliances, etc) The economist (worth of items and any natural materials) The Anthropologist (the culture) The Cartographer (climate and geographical layout) This method is more broad though. The culture wheel seems really helpful too. I'm excited to use it for my other project

This video is gonna help me so much. I'm currently writing an original series myself and one thing that helps me make a series or writing is that I talk to myself 😐... When I'm alone😶. DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT 🤣! If I don't talk to myself, I can't come up with a point of beginning or a point on ending 😅. I'm not crazy, I just have a story that I want to narrate through the characters I create and dream up. As for listening to voice clips, I always try to look for characters that match my characters personally and back story. Sorry if this is long. I just like writing😅.

No judgment here at all lol. I was super stuck rewriting Project CD a few weeks ago. Then, I started talking to myself and resolved the plot holes and missing story beats in maybe 2 hours? (Didn't feel that long though) It really works 😶 Also I've read longer comments, I don't mind them at all either way

When I tell you this is so helpful because yesterday I just had the greatest idea for a BL webtoon and I'm so excited to get to work on it but I have had other projects in the past as well as other webtoons and I would always get stuck in the pre-production phase so thank you so much for making this video

@@Girl_Delinquent lol okay so basically the idea is that there are these two guys in high-school that don't seem like the type to befriend each other and have neever really crossed paths but then they end up bonding when one of them finds out that the other is into this really niche video game that he is absolutely obsessed with and they start bonding with each other and become fast friends. I want there to be more to the story than just that but before I get carried away that's the gist of it! They're both queer (bi dude + gay demiboy) and POC and im a queer teen of color myself so this story really makes me happy to work on :3

Kind of reminds me of the Console Her webtoon where a girly prep befriends a loner goth just to get her gaming console because she's secretly a nerd but then they fall for eachother eventually. Yours sounds a bit more wholesome since there's no trickery just mutual interests which is sweet. And POC too! 😶 Good luck on your project, I'd love to read it!

@@intrusia I would but I don’t know if it would be enough for a video. I just use Chatgpt and Google. And consider their personality and where they're from. If they're southern, I'll Google/generate southern names. If they're a preppy girl, I'll Google "preppy female names". My other character, "Lucin" lives in a world inspired by Chinese culture, so he has a Chinese name now, "Yue Li". That's pretty much it 💀

Looking back, I think I combined two seperate templates. One was extremely simple and the other very complicated and character focused: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZXOaYKOlpxlrJI This is the simple one I took inspo from that has plot/events 2:14 And this is the more complicated one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pH-mi4qQoJprpZI 3:45 Both are from the same channel that I watch that's more focused on writing books but still helpful if you twist the advice a bit.
