Don't get me wrong I really like zwag and the content he is posting but I kinda understand the mordekaiser. Of course he doesn't has to insult zwag like that but like him I also would be pretty salty if a challenger player was in my elo. I think in general smurfing kind of ruins the experience for a lot of players but I also have to say that I understand that zwag doesn't like to play in high elo because he doesn't have any fun there anymore.

recently I made a comeback LoL, like 2 weeks ago. I played 90% of the time support to learn about new champs, reworks, and other things that have been changed in the last 3 years. So today I had a game session with 2 friends, we did play like 15 games, all day. I started as pyke, and after 3 games I was about to rage quit, the games just sucked so bad. After that I went back to my comfort picks, morgana and leona, and the games went a bit better, but we still lost of of them. by this point we were 2 and 11 wins and loses. After that I let my 2 premade friends go duo bot, and I got to go mid. First game malz, I sucked ass against Lucian. Then I decided to pick xerath, and goddamnit the last 3 games I had with him were absolutely great. We lost the last one, but I still had great stats, not to mention carrying the first 2 (not alone, wasn't like 1v5). All thanks to seeing your xerath gameplay, I was confident in my build and how to play the champ. so thanks for that, and keep doing these great vids :)

Back in the day I was playing only kassadin or akali in midlane. After seeing zwags videos for so long I decided to buy xerath, not bc it looks op or his damage in lane, only 'cause he looks so damn fun. After a few games my games in the midlane went to 7/5/3 to 22/0/5. I was fucking perplexed I was having fun playing and I was good with the champ and carrying my team (of course, all credits to zwag pls). After so many games I decided to stop playing xerath because I wanted to learn others champs and lanes.

Something I really admire about Zwag is his dedication, borderline perfectionism for pumping out quality content. I thought this was a very entertaining game, but here Zwag is just like "meh. I felt bad for him, i used to be like that when i just started back in 2013 when the victorious elise skin came out and i just wanted that skin but i needed to be gold and it was almost impossible i was getting stomped so hard every game it was near the end of the season..so many smurfs, elo boosting was a thing back then and the skin was new so people were buying boost. It was smurfs+elo boosters making money out of it. Making it to gold was like a great achievement people were super good or that's what it felt like. I got the skin eventually but it wasn't worth it ended up being ugly 😂. Now gold seems to be like normals with the iron gang. I think that's the reason i've never made a smurf. I just feel bad ☹️

Games are about fun, period. Winning is one method of fun, and a metric for yourself to continue getting better and improving. If you insinuate that a grandmaster chess player can't have a good time with his kid or grandkid... well, you're wrong. The difference is relationship. ELO systems that encourage the making of multiple accounts and all manner of nonsense have destroyed that. There is almost zero organic community formation in modern games, and that's why competitive games get so toxic-forming a relationship with the people you play with is almost impossible. It makes people jaded and magnifies the natural impulse to say " does not actually reflect on me." as a way of defending your pride. If a Pro sportsballer played with the kids, it would quickly turn into a sort of clinic where he is showing them all the cool tricks and how to practice, but in league nobody asks for advice really, or even tries. Kinda sad.

I understand the people in the comments who agree with the enemy team, saying Zwag is kinda cheating them out of a fair game by playing in a lower ELO than his skill would have him be in, but regardless of skill, anyone can get fed early and snowball from there. I'm a silver Xerath main, and I am nowhere near as good as Zwag at the champ, but I've had games where an early kill or two gets me even more fed than he got this game, and there just isn't anything the enemy team can do but FF as early as possible. So I don't think the enemy team had the right to be as toxic as they were, as it could have happened to them facing an average LoL player just as easily as if they faced the world's best Xerath player.

Zwag, I occasionally watch your content and I do find it enjoyable, mostly because I like Xerath as a champion and feel he is very under-represented. However, there is also something about it that I find a bit off putting. I understand your desire to play in lower ELO's, and I cannot place any blame on you for doing so. Blame for that, and for the toxicity of the general community of LoL lies mostly with Riot. However, after thinking about what it is that I find off putting about your content, I have come to realize, that it is that your content seems to fall in line with, and even low key promote the general toxicity that lies with the LoL community. I understand that smurfing is something that Riot basically forces you to do, and KZbin is your source of income, so that unavoidable. What is avoidable; however, is that instead of trying to help improve the community, you seem to actively encourage this poor behavior by taking advantage of it in your videos. Case in point, the tag in this video "Forces 3 Rage Quits in 15 Minutes (Super Toxic)" However, during commentary, in game, you explain that you have been playing so many games that day because of people leaving and you need content longer than 15 minutes. Thus, the only reason this game was "special" and made it on KZbin, was because the Mordekaiser ended up being so toxic towards you, which made this particular game have more interesting content than the others. I understand that makes it better for ratings; but you are, at the core, taking advantage of lower ELO players to make money while at the same time encouraging them and the people watching your content to be actively toxic towards you, and to enjoy viewing that toxic content from you respectively. I would just consider that a bit. I'm not asking you to totally revamp your channel or anything, I get you need to smurf to get shorter que's, I understand you can't control other people's toxicity. But, you can control what you highlight about a game, you can control what tags you use on KZbin, and you can control how you respond to people in game.

Out of curiosity, would you have said the same thing if this was a high elo 15 minute stomp with a morde flaming in all chat? I don't think it really matters what title he uses, because the toxicity in LoL is already so far off the charts, it's kind of beyond the point of worth to try to 'be better'. Also, I'd like to point out that this is basically every KZbinr that makes content involving them stomping the opposition, in terms of taking advantage of other players, which in a matter of ethics is small compared to some things, such as taking advantage of others through lies and manipulation. In the end, Zwag's impact on LoL toxicity is probably far smaller than it may appear, simply due to the sheer size of the community and it's respective toxicity.

Yes, my overall stance would stay the same, because the only variable that made this particular game different from the others that day was the Mord throwing a tantrum. That doesn't change if you change the ELO. Thus, in terms of my overall argument, nothing particularly changes based on what ELO this game would happen to be played in. However, my thoughts on players getting upset and being toxic towards somebody in the same ELO as them, as opposed to somebody smurfing in a lower ELO, are completely different. If you're in the same ELO and start throwing a tantrum because you're losing, then you're just being entitled and toxic. However, if you're in a lower ELO, and somebody is smurfing in ranked and smashes you, so that they can make KZbin content or for w/e reason, then you have a right to be upset about that. Granted, you do not have the right to become toxic and start flaming and throwing a tantrum. But, being frustrated and upset by those actions is fully reasonable. Because of this, in lower ELO, I view toxicity brought on by Smurfing, partly the responsibility of the Smurfers themselves. Also, while I agree that the toxicity within the LoL community is very high, I do not agree that there is no point in calling people out on it, or that trying to change it on an individual level is pointless. And just because other KZbinrs like SoloRen, etc... do the same type of things, I think that Swag is actually more reserved and thought out in his personality, just based on how he speaks and narrates his videos. Maybe that is just my own personal inference, but maybe he'd be willing to read a hopefully well thought out argument and consider it. And even though click bait titles draw people in, it does not mean that they do not have a negative impact. Also, I would hardly call and audience of 100k + as small. Anywho, those are just my thoughts Hazop, hope you're having a good day.
