growing these for the first time. Want to use them for food, nitrogen, adding mulch and as fodder thanks for making this video nice to see what I can expect from a few plants

Best of luck! I love the pigeon peas. Those plants got knocked back a little by a near freeze but are coming back stronger than ever!

Beautiful plant. I love pigeon peas. I like to cok them with smoked meat or whenever I want a vegitarian dish I love adding them to onions, sweet bell peppers and garlic and making them like a stir fry served over pasta or rice.

greetings from Deltona. Just got my first set of seeds . Going to try placing three trees on the east side of my home for shade. Just not sure how close to the house I should plant them.

how do u suggest pruning them for production in small yards
@EatYourBackyard2 жыл бұрын
I would not prune them much. What I have learned is that they do best doing their natural thing. I have tried to tie them to poles to grow more straight and seemed to not like that. Also I have attempted heavy shaping when they are young, also did not like that. The ones I let do what they do and only remove nuisance branches seems to be the best approach. I hope you will also check out my original music channel and subscribe, it is new, kzbin.info/www/bejne/aH_Sg5imqaqKaac I am trying to reach 100 subs there, heh.
