1 Year Later - Should you still get them? Edifier WH950NB

It’s been roughly 1 year since Edifier released its premium Headphones called the WH950nb onto the market. They feature everything you could want in terms of Headphones, for an affordable pricetag of somewhere around 150 Euros. If this is still a pair of Headphones you should get, and if these can actually rival other Headphones for a much higher Price, will be discussed right after the intro.

How are pads holding up? I heard the materials they used on the earcups deteriorate easily? I'm looking to get this or the Sony 720n. Which one would last longer?

These were my daily drivers from day one release until now. Now I have the Sennheiser HD650 headphones on my pc, and these for transport and for my phone. They are fantastic streamers and they charge fast. The dynamic eq without anc is pretty well rounded eq. Good set for sure. 👍

The battery life is fantastic and the charge time is nonexistent. The Bluetooth range and efficiency is unmatched by any headset I’ve ever used I can be on the other side of the house outside through 2-3 walls while my phone or headphones are inside and everything still works. Battery life is amazing. On top of that the Dynamic eq is so well rounded that you don’t really need to eq it unless you were trying to color in the sound a bit too much imo. But for those that were interested the 4 band eq with a Q factor only works well if you know what frequencies to mess with i noticed the bass is pretty ok from the get go same with the mids, but you might want to brighten up the treble just a little bit in 2-3 bands and then I would use the last band for a good bass setting around 20-60hz.

honor and huawei phones with histen audio effects basically mimic the theatre mode too, could use that mode pretty much on my w820nb+ rn 🤘🏻

mine are still looking good, but lets be honest, i have a huge collection of Headphones by now, and so they arent rotated in frequently. The 950 are primarily used by my Girlfriend daily, and still look good.

For mine, theres a little peeling on the earcups but they have yet to have any impact on the comfort.Bought it since released and used on mostly for gym sessions

I bought the beige one, and after around 10 months of daily use, the earpads are wasted. I bought replacement pads, but sadly, only black color is available in my country so yea I have a customized wh950nb now 🤣

I got one, it’s great headphone, ANC excellent, good audio, design really premium, battery is real incredible. Sony headphones are very expensive and do the same this Edifier 950NB.

Is there latency when watching movies or gaming on a pc?

as with all bluetooth connections, there is a bit, but its not noticeable.

There is also the gaming mode by clicking the mode button on the side of the headset and that will drop latency as low as possible.

It's very good, however I returned it because I wanted something that would blow me away and feel more immersive than my AirPods Pro, but they actually sound pretty similar. Now, it's cheaper than AirPods Pro and so if budget is the deciding factor it's a better buy, but unlike airpods, they'll warm up your ears so that tradeoff wasn't worth it for me. But they're overall great headphones.
