Thanks for sharing your experiences via KZbin. First it is an atrocity somebody broke your window to get in. I admire how you did upgrades inside for better useage and convenience. Going underneath the camper talking about the leaf springs got me thinking how serious it is to buy a camper. I am 65 years, eleven months and 13 days. My husband is in a nursing home. I would not want to have to deal with the issues you mentioned as I age. I am very thankful you were honest about not having this camper to live in but you use on weekends or occasionally. I thought about buying one so my daughter and her two young girls and I can travel and stay in to avoid paying money for hotels that may not be clean and have other negative issues such as bugs, etc.. I do own a Kia Sedona LX minivan. After watching your video, it may be wise for me to just travel and stay in it and bring along my cooler on wheels, portable generator, portable fans, portable heaters, portable washer/spinner, etc.. You convinced me that it would take an experienced person to be at the camper dealers to know the negatives upfront. I am new to campers and have watched videos via KZbin. You have been very open about the problems you’ve experienced but you also know of others that had major issues. Thanks for reading my comments. Smiles

2023 Wolf Pup 16 TS owner here, what a joke. I am a single guy, never loaded the RV to capacity ( I don’t carry water) just some clothes and food. I was headed to Lake Tahoe at the end of August when my Inferior “cast” aluminum rim literally blew up. I never ran over anything or even heated up my brake drums. I was traveling on a flat area of hay 20 when my rim blew up, instantly. I had full coverage insurance, they wanted to have me file a claim, but because there was no accident no can do. Because it’s a manufacturing defect. The “wonderful” free towing took 2.5 days of me sitting on the edge of the bay before they had a con artist tow company tow me to my maximum distance of 100 miles. Zero dealers in a radius greater than 100 miles would allow my trailer on their lot. The place where I bought the trailer also refused to fix the problem. They referred me to the Manufacturer. Let me be clear here, the rim blew up into hundreds of small shrapnel pieces of aluminum. And, the shock load of the trailer instantly loosing the rim caused the axle to break and the leaf springs to be severely damaged. The company has never called me back. I ended up at a gas station for another 3 days. Totally dissatisfied and disappointed with Forest river and the entire RV experience. This is a 2023 that was just over 6 months old. This was my baby, I washed it every week just to keep the dust off her, it was immaculate before this happened, now it’s been sitting in my driveway for over a month and no one is willing to do anything for me. Are we living in the Twilight Zone? Confused, sad and totally dissatisfied. Looking to get thru to Forest River.

I have a 2018 Wolf Pup 16FQ and this weekend I was having issues figuring out the hot water heater. I found your video through google and was able to figure it out (switch on tank side) and thank you for that. As a new RV owner I was hoping you could go through some RV maintenance videos (although you touched on some) but things like how to check the caulking, what to look for on the roof to avoid leaks, propane maintenance, how to clean the outside of the RV, how to clean the awning, etc. These would be really helpful. Thanks again.

I liked everything about this trailer with the inside. None of the upgrades you did would be a major issue for me to copy. As soon as you got 1/2 way explaning the axel and leaf springs I knew this would not work for me. There's an exact year/make/model for sale cheap at a nearby dealer for 14K, but after your video I will have to pass on it. Also, I would not recommend this for a rental which is also what I'm looking to do later. I was planning on living in this during the remodel, then move across the country, find a fix-up home, live in the trailer while I remodel it, then use it after as a rental.

I put the Sumo Springs on mine and you can tell you have lost a lot of leaf spring suspension because it is smashing your Sumo Spring on that side where it hit the frame. That Sumo Spring is way too compressed. And for what you paid for those, Forest River should replace those springs and reimburse you for the Sumo Springs.
I have a 16 he wolf pup and I found a black cabinet for the bathroom its about 4 foot tall and only 8 inches by 8 inches worked great by the toilet.

It doesn’t really “fix” it but it will add an extra layer of support there for big bumps and place less stress on the leaf springs.

Do you use a weight distribution hitch?
@brianwilson608511 ай бұрын
Oh I see in one of your videos you do use a weight distribution hitch that is why you are having trouble with the springs it takes the weight off the rear of the tow vehicle and puts more weight on the front tires and more weight on the camper axles.

@TheRVPastime2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, not sure why there’s so much inconsistency with the wiring on these. In that manual at least with mine, the “driven stereo system“ it showed which color wires go to which input on the receiver. So I just undid them and wired that way and had no problems

@TheRVPastime2 жыл бұрын
It looks like the whole AC but really it’s just the big white panel with the controller built into it plus a control module that you have to install up inside the AC unit with the correct wiring. Either way there might be some smaller controller that you can install but there will still be wiring involved since you’re directly controlling the compressor and the fan and all that.
