I like the bumper magnetic and the neatly ran wires. I see the screens on the outside,smart. And remove that refrigerator was smart. I painted my hitch on the trailer so I could see it better on the trucks backup camera. Makes hooking up a little easier.

The 18TO has the best floor plan with largest slide in 18ft trailer. After year's of dragging 18TO up down the mountain in northwest, we would buy it again! Forest River is truly junkie construction but we upgraded as needed. For the price it still the best floor plan for our needs and lot's of fun. I highly recommend upgrading the tires size and load specifications. We get off road and boondock as much as possible and 18TO size is truly perfect. Thanks for sharing yours. Be safe and have fun!

I had a question for you, I seen a video where you upgraded the solar charge controller and other components. I have a 16bhs which has a lot of the same equipment stock as this one. I’m having a hard time figuring out why the new charge controller isn’t powering the camper unit up with lithium battery installed. This is what I have, 75mppt charge controller and 200ah lithium battery. Removed stock waree controller and had 4 wires total coming from the wall. I attached all wire to the new controller and through the app that runs Bluetooth it’s giving me 20-22volts from solar and 14volts from the battery but nothing is powering up.

I bought your personal Wolf Pup camper a few months ago, our first trip was to Utah lol😅we saw your plates “Utah”. I am so glad you made these videos so I could learn about your RV and all you did to it. Wondered if you had any idea why the panels are not charging my batteries, I have to use a generator to charge them. I did check the breaker and it did flip so I fixed that but still no luck. We are with a group of RVers at Utahraptor state park helping the park build trails and paint bathrooms etc. “A YEAR TO VOLUNTEER” is the group. Check out there videos. Thanks again!

Nice upgrades. I own a 2022 Wolf Pup 18RJBBL Toy Hauler. My mods (so far)... - 600Watts of Solar Panel. - Victron 3000 watt inverter/converter - 300AH LiPO battery - progressive industry built in surge protector - soft start on AC (for boondocking ac operation) - made a cupboard of the paneled off section under the stove top. - installed 40lb propane tank in placeof 20 pounder - reworked cupboard above sink to recover 30% of wasted space (electrical covering panel using up 1/3 of space) - spare tire mounted under trailer (reclaimed under bed storage area) - installed piezo igniters on stove burners - swapped (incorrect) 3000 lb leaf springs with proper 3500lb leaf springs And then just this month... My neighbors landscaping crew broke my bed area emergency exit window. 30"x22" window. Do you know that these cost from $650 to $1700 dollars. JUST FOR THE WINDOW. Absurd price for the Black Label limited frameless flush mount window. So, if you have a Black Label Wolf Pup be very cautious with your windows.

Did you swap out the dinette for chairs? We have a 2018 keystone bullet crossfire 19’, with a rear dinette. I want to remove it, put in recliners or a love seat. Also, we are in a similar situation for tow vehicle. We have a Nissan Frontier, which we owned before buying the trailer. I’d love a 3/4 ton or Nissan Titan XD, for the same reasons why you upgraded from the Tacoma. I noticed your axle is underslung, ours is overslung, hhhmmmm… might have to look at ours, see if that would be a help or a hindrance. Some addons I’d like to do - undermount spare tire carrier. For the spare tire and a honey wagon - honey wagon - foldable water tank, with pump. - backup camera on trailer - bumper mounted carrier, like the one you took off.
@TheRVPastime2 жыл бұрын
Not yet. Plan was to take out the dinette and add a couch but I haven’t found one I liked that was a reasonable price yet. I may not end up doing that before I upgrade to a bigger trailer to be honest.

Interesting. Is the temp select blinking? If so, cycle the 12v. Some people have had issues where the fridge is only a little cold but the freezer is fine and that light is blinking which I think is when the fridge can’t keep temp or there’s voltage fluctuation. Resetting the temp select or cycling power altogether seems to fix when that happens
@elizabethgrayson5303 жыл бұрын
@@TheRVPastime Aha!!!! YES the light was blinking! Both the fridge and freezer can't keep cool enough. First the freezer stuff was melting, so I took it out then later in the day I noticed the fridge was not cooling well either. I just turned the fridge off inside the fridge itself with the power button. I will leave it off for 24 hours then restart it? I did notice on the voltage meter in the camper that the voltage fluctuates...? It is anywhere from 9-11 when plugged into the house.

Impressive upgrades! I tow my 2021 Wolf Pup 16fq on pavement. It sees dirt roads entering and exiting RV parks. Would you recommend the Sumo springs for me? How much did the combined weight your upgrades reduce your regular carrying weight? Thanks for sharing this video .
@TheRVPastime2 жыл бұрын
I would recommend the Summo springs still. Road or no road, I think they’re nice to have. The upgrades added a couple hundred pounds, so you’d have to consider that based on what else you have in the trailer. In my case, I still had some overhead.
@robertcovemaker94402 жыл бұрын
I agree impressive upgrades but i also would be concerned with adding that much weight . Extra tank, I assume extra batteries, solar panels etc, etc. Be careful I think this is pushing the limit I have a 2019 16fq and it is a good trailer for what it is but is is light duty with little margin for error on specs.. Axles, frame , wheel bearings will not handle all those extras If you require all those bells and whistles start with a more substantial trailer
