I totally agree with you on spending all day in a tractor vs going for a long car ride, although I had never really thought about it like that before, heck one bad winter storm when we got close to 3 foot of snow I spent 9 hours plowing in a loader till the water pump let go so I jumped in our backhoe and plowed another 12 hours on top of that but driving the 3 hours to the New Hampshire/Canada line to see my father kills me so I try to plan and spend the weekend when I visit:) It’s funny how when you love something it just isn’t even work, it’s about like breathing

My wife would not bring me seed at 9pm. It would take a miracle to get her to drive any equipment in the first place except a car. She thinks I'm nuts just to watch farming videos but I find it interesting. I'm an aircraft mechanic by trade and find it interesting to learn how different kinds of equipment work and it's nice to learn about different farming practices.

Can you really say that ?? have you asked her to haul seed recently ??

Here in southern Michigan we double crop soybeans after wheat as well. We normally do 800 to 900 acres of winter wheat. This year we planted 2000 acres of winter wheat that will be double cropped. We farm 5200 acres plus custom farm another 2000 acres for other people. We plant cover crops on all of our land that's not planted to wheat . We prefer to plant rye after soybeans. We farm corn soybeans and wheat plus we raise Angus cattle and hogs . I am a new subscriber I enjoy your videos and the diversity of crops that you grow . I have family that lives in Tennessee a aunt that lives in Knoxville and cousins that live in Stewart county near fort Campbell. Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !

I enjoy your channel Matt. I watch the Big Tractor Power channel on here. Most is filmed in western Kentucky. 1 farm at Hopkinsville shown there alot..their 7 combines will harvest 34,000 acres of corn, wheat and soybeans...the farms grew it all. I live in middle TN, have sold some Angus bulls that went to Humboldt. Be safe

You should try my newly patented cotton drier, you tip into the module and the module empties into the drier, where the cotton is held on steel racks with hot dry air passing over it. From there it goes to a storage bin when at the right moisture, and back into the module.

The numbers on yield were VERY interesting and an " ah-hah" moment. I look at the fields surrounding my house so much different now on my daily walk. Sides of my house was soybean, across the road is still corn. They did the edges. Down the road was wheat. The winter crop is like grass in your yard right now. I'm in mid Michigan, snowed yesterday

Valve stems are placed on the inside of the tire because too many people, if the tire is on the outside edge of a piece of equipment run equipment into brush or the likes and break off the stem. Some tractor tires now come with a guard around the stem and it is on the outside. Hope you see the sun soon.

Went to Sikeston yesterday and there was a crop duster putting something on the cotton along Hwy 61. Will you dust your cotton with the wet weather if so what would you be dusting it with. I do not live very far from you, Portageville, MO. I've been to Humboldt, lol Thanks for the channel because you are teaching things that I have always had questions about. Keep up the great and awesome channel please and stay safe.

Edna Robinson we don’t use crop dusters. We have our own self propelled sprayer. Not sure what they would have been spraying on cotton this time of year. There’s a good chance they were spreading cover crop seed
