Hey, when you say "a separate campaign for your Branded Keywords" you mean your competitors brands you are targeting right ? Or is it just your own brand ( I have heard you should include that to defend your brand) Also if it is a separate competitors campaign would you pool your targeted ASINs in the same campaign ?
@Nomadzppc Жыл бұрын
Just your own brand. You want to keep your own branded terms separate since they convert so much higher and skew the results.

@Nomadzppc5 жыл бұрын
Dennis NL yes there are certainly benefits to this. Sometimes there can be one search term or ASIN in an auto that is using up all the spend. I know some people are now trying 3 different autos for each SKU with a $10 budget each.

so our PPC conversion rate for a certain keyword should be the same as our overall conversion rate of organic sales, and if its not, then what issues does that cause exactly?You said it will 'hurt' us but what does that mean? Poor PPC conversion for certain keywords lower than organic overall makes you drop in page position for those keywords?

Branded means your own brand. If you are nike then a branded keyword would be "nike shoes for men" and a non-branded word would be "shoes for men"
@NissrineA745 жыл бұрын
Hi Lucas. Thank you for the valuable info. I have 3 questions please: Why put your brand as a negative kw and how do you create a “branded campaign”? Can’t you just put your brand as an exact kw and bid on it? Where in report does it tell you what time of the day your budget ran out so you’ll know to increase it? For singular and plural, if one not converting and you want to put it in negative, how to get around not affecting conversion on plural that is converting? Thank you 😊
@Nomadzppc5 жыл бұрын
Hi Ness, 1. A branded campaign is just a campaign with only branded keywords. So thats where you bid on your brand name in exact and broad match and then remove it from all others, so the data is more reliable. 2. Does not tell you this in a report. Go to campaign manager on the day a budget runs out and it should say "out of budget for x hours" 3. Just keep it. Or maybe try it in a different match type in another ad group, but this is tricky to get around.
@NissrineA745 жыл бұрын
Great! Will do that, thank you Lucas :)

@Nomadzppc3 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it doesnt matter how high your bids are, check your SEO/images first. Then do something crazy like $10 bids just to see how much you have to pay for clicks. Sometimes with $10 bids you may only pay $3 CPC but if you do a tight budget on this, you can actually test what it will take to spend your budget

Great video! Thanks for sharing as well. I have a question. What's the purpose of bidding on single keywords and low bidding. Would it confuse the algorithm if the result turns out to be very different from your actual product? would this method work on a separate campaign or mixed with your other broad match. Thanks.

Diana Lan you will want to have these in their own campaign at a very low bid. If your SEO is done correctly this will act very similar to an auto campaign.

Hello Lucas, great video as usual! I have a newer product which I have just started selling less than 10 days ago. I am running auto and manual broad, exact with the 2 variations targeted at the same time. The problem seems to be that most people favored one color. What do I do to improve the sales on the least favored one? Should I run ads separately for each variation? Thanks

You should always run ads separately for each SKU, but you also need to know when to abandon a SKU. If it's not selling, put more money into the one that is selling and focus on whats working.

Hi Lucas! Great videos, thanks for doing it! I have a question about the performance of some of my PPC Campaigns. Basically, my Ads are not working for some of the keywords that I am bidding against. Let's say I have 30 keywords in my manual campaign, 10 keywords work normally - I can see their position in real-time, however, when I search for other 20 I am not showing at all - despite my aggressive bids. This is happening in few of my listings and I don't really know why... as some of the keywords are really related to my products (keywords included in title/bullet points). I would really appreciate your help with this issue as I feel like losing a lot of impressions and potential clicks... Thanks !!
@Nomadzppc5 жыл бұрын
Indexing issues like this can be tough to figure out. Go through each keyword and make sure you're indexed for it and then maybe only have 10 keywords for each campaign. Too many aggressive keywords in one campaign can hurt you since they won't all get impressions/clicks.

If you are selling a red ball and have keyword Red Ball in your broad match/ auto campaign and Red Ball in your exact match and the search term that is converting from broad and auto is Red ball do you negative exact and only have it in your exact match? But by negating that very relevant keyword from your broad/auto aren't you risking not mining new relevant keywords and long term key words because it relates to your product the most? Also what happens when you have the same keyword in auto broad and exact do those keywords cannibalize each other? Thank you!
@Nomadzppc5 жыл бұрын
You always want to test keywords in different match types. It will usually be the case that one match type will perform better than the other. If red ball broad match is crushing it, don't mess with it. Leave it where it is and don't worry about exact match. Sometimes adding negative exacts to broad/auto can really mess with Amazons algorithm
@sergeimerekin81935 жыл бұрын

I hear people say if you manage to get on the first page then you will see sales because most of the sales occur on the first page but what if you don't see no big difference in sales? How many keywords do you have to be on the first page to see lots of sales? just don't understand the process of PPC and rankings? The best seller is on the first page without PPC granted he has the most reviews around 400. when and how long will you be ranked. I ran an auto and a manual. I made a mistake with my manual because I changed my daily bids and budget often because I wasn't on the first page. I then stumbled on your page where you said to bid .25% more which I did and you were right. its been 6 days since I started my PPC but my question when I download my search term reports, did I hurt myself by changing bids daily and budget? how can I get accurate data if I changed often and what should I do now? I started with $30 budget and .89 bids and I ran out of the budget and I wasn't getting to the first page but once I up the daily budget 300 and bids to 2, I got on the first page but now I have a negative.
