Feudal also allows to make cavalry builds, focusing on tier 3 knight and later switching to Tyrant Knights from Tome of Subjugation(order tier 3 tome). In a way it is much more strategic spell-resistant then tier 1 spam. Then you ignore damage enchantments like Searing Blades as they are bad on single attack units and instead take anything granting percentile damage increase (Animal Kinship transformation, Cruel Weaponry enchantment), crit chance(Astral Blood transformation, Artisan Armaments & Flameburst Weapons enchantments), flanking damage (Sneaky mind trait & Pack Leader hero skill) and defensive stats. Ideally you also take unicorn mounts to ensure that your knights (Tyrant or normal) will get to archers back sides ignoring enemy defensive line.

I agree with everything you’re saying! My Wife uses Unicorns……but my pride….my pride will never allow me to go Unicorns…..ever.

Feudal has 2 initial support commander picks as also feudal lord 10% damage. As the best subsequent picks are from 3+ that means you get mainly support commanders and that fits with tomes giving those commander stack buffs (only High culture matches on support commander synergy I think). This means there can be a strategic mobility issue mitigated (underwhelm as you imply) by Lord of war for starting commander. Also I think the food emphasis allows Feudal to be the best mitigator of a Cryo build weakness and if that overcome then becomes a bizarre research monster.

One thing about swapping gov around is that you cannot do it with the throne city easily and this is the one that should be the food to max that early snowball and the food is the one you would be best suited to move to boost a new city. All of the rest are just OK but the food one is tremendous.

Production is also huge early on

I was surprised that ic0n didn't mention this. Generally, I like to make sure the Food and Production lords are not my starting hero, so I can move them around as needed. Usually, this means that I will assign Lord of Crops to my starting hero at lv.2, and use the one free respec later on to swap to either Lord of Knowledge or Lord of Magic, since neither of these resources care about which city they are assigned to.

Is there a general number of provinces you want to stop at lest your city stability will become irreparable?
@Ic0nGaming Жыл бұрын
Afaik there is a number around ~20+ iirc where a normal build without any Tomes + Governors would slip irrevocably into negative. But I never did the math. Cause it massively depends on your build and current situation.

The pikemen are absolutely useless. They're dead weight. You might say they're meat shields, but they're not. They're paper shields. It makes them painful and demoralizing to play. Those archers need some help.
@Ic0nGaming18 күн бұрын
The whole point about the Pikemen is that they are super cheap and expendable if necessary and they evolve into free T2 units eventually. If you dislike them, there's luckily plenty of other T1 units to play around. And T1 Archers generally suck w/o Enchantments on almost all cultures.
