Wow. I've made lots of stuff with lots of stuff, but I've never seen anyone make soap from soap. My mother used to buy Ivory soap flakes and whip them with hot water then make snow for the Christmas tree.

I love it! Now you know I'm gonna have to try that!

@@FABEDhacks after doing a quick search I found several recipes for Ivory Soap snow. They all called for liquid starch. I don't remember her including starch, but it's possible.

I love all your videos, I've got so many of them saved, it's crazy! You've got tons of genius ideas, and I always wonder, "why didn't I think of that?" LOL. I dunno how you can look at an item, and see something completely different, it's amazing... I wish I could, more often, see the potential in everyday things; I'm so literal, I pretty much just see things for what they are. ...so boring, but, i'm hoping, if I watch you enough, I can start flexing that muscle and be a bit more crafty. I love the idea of customizing a thing, to better meet my needs, because many items in the store are great, but, always seem to be missing something. I like that you take something and put your own spin on it, I always see the things store items lack... I did make a pet bed, out of rolled-up towels, shoved into the arms of a thrift store sweater, so, I do have that to be proud of. Lol. My puppy loves it, too! Well, keep those ideas coming, I love it, and I can't wait to implement some of this stuff, into my life. I love how many of your items aren't just decorative, but practical, as well, I really appreciate form, combined with function. That, along with, double-duty items, are my favorite homemaking concepts.

@@FABEDhacks cool! I came full circle & became a leader to my daughter's brownie troupe & my son's cub scouts (they couldn't get enough dad's to volunteer so it was in desperation lol.) It didn't take long before I realized what an overpriced, , disorganized, poorly managed, money grabbing company they were, that uses child labor to sell their products the hardest way possible without compensation or and unachievable rewards that weren't even worthy of the effort I think they're out of operation after the abuse scandals.

So true! I wonder if these orgs start this way or do bad apples enter? Guess it really doesn't matter but just seems more nefarious and horrible if they start with those intentions instead of creeps coming along who see opportunites to exploit.

Loved all your soaps, so clever. I am trying to figure out how to add small amounts of color such as you did for the snowman hat, scarf etc. when your daughter worked with the Ivory scraps. Can you please explain? I have some Christmas molds - a tree with indentations for ornaments, some ornaments with a design in the middle but the small amount of soap needed hardens before I can even pour it out of the glass container. Thank you
