Been struggling with anxiety since may. Meditation did wonders for me but there are still days that anxiety might hit me hard. Like today for example. Headed out to work and ran into my mom during the walk to work. Chatted a little and suddenly a huge panic attack hit me. I started sweating and heartrate went up really quickly and i felt the pounding in my chest. I managed to firm it though. I was able to get control back within a minute and the feelings subsided. Feeling quite proud of myself today :) months ago it would have ruined my entire week because i would not let that experience go. You were a huge help guiding me to be able to deal with all of it. Thanks Dennis

Matto, been struggling for a long as you have. Meditation does help, and these videos and podcasts also, but sometimes still just cannot prove to my own brain that I'm making progress, reaching the sunlight at the other end of the dimly lit tunnel, and that soon my life will include anxious moments, but not anxiety all day. I really want to believe that will happen for me, and I'm getting there, but it's a long, slow, and winding road.

@@DrewonTube210 Iv'e been meditating for 6 months now. Went from countless guided meditations here on youtube to meditating by myself for 40 minutes a day and focusing on my breath. Everytime a thought comes up i just go back to my breath and continue. One advice i took to my heart recently was from a video i watched. Through meditation you manage to calm your monkey brain. Once the monkey brain lets up, it will start working with you and then real progress and personality and spirituality path begins. And when i have a bad day, feeling down and being anxious i just say to myself: Look how far you've come these past 6 months. Its gradually getting better and you are becoming calmer and calmer. Hyping myself up and being positive really helps. Continue on your path and you got this, i believe in you :) have a nice day man... And ps. its amazing how its so simple to talk about things like this with a complete stranger :D helps let it out a little

#9 absolutely and #5 for me. Health anxiety is what I deal with. Day in and day out. ANY body symptoms triggers my anxiety. For 12 years now.. Night time being the worse, like absolute worse. I can’t handle the darkness and quietness. I’m alone in my thoughts and it’s scary. Not self harm or anything. Just thinking I might be dying. Insomnia doesn’t help either. Head pain whether a headache, a stabbing pain, a throbbing pain or anything can send me spiraling right into a panic attack. Heart palpitations or any random pain in my chest also sends me to a panic attack. Arm pain. abdomen pain, thighs, legs and at the moment it’s my neck and rib pain. I tell myself I’m fine, I’m safe and I’m okay but it’s not enough. I don’t fight the anxiety anymore. I talk to it and let it warn me. But my catastrophic thoughts and overthinking of dying takes over. It’s a vicious circle. Feeling faint, lightheaded, heart pounding, can’t breathe, dizziness and literally feels like I’m going to die. Cliche but it is what it is. It has ruined my life. I consider myself a functioning health anxiety person. My brain fixates on EVERY single symptom I feel. And the hardest thing to shake is that I really do feel these things. It’s not fake or my imagination. So feeling things that are real makes it hard to tell my brain that I’m okay. And there’s got to be reasons why each symptom is there. Something’s not right and somethings definitely wrong. At least that’s how I see it. I’m still hopeful and trying to rewire this brain of mine… after lots and lots of scans, lab work and MRI’s nothing can convince my anxiety to go away.😔

For me too, the nighttime is the most difficult time. I think it's because I don't have the usual distractions of the day, and so it's easier for all the memories, worries, and fears, all raise their ugly heads. There are certain traumatic experiences from my life that will often replay over and over again, night after night.

@@LaurenceGalian i totally understand. I feel everything at night 10x worse than if I were to feel it during the day. And you’re absolutely right, the day time distractions are what keeps thoughts at bay. Then come night, it’s quiet and dark. It just gives all those thoughts a chance to creep up. Ugh. Hope you’re doing well. I keep AirPods in one ear to help me fall asleep either on music or podcasts. It helps a lot, but my ear hurts after. lol

#5 spoke to me. I had a panic attack on the road and now I fear driving unless I'm on the last lane because it makes me feel safe that I can pull over if I get another panic attack. I loved driving but now I map out the road before I go anywhere and I no longer go on highways because traffic puts me in a panic. But little by little I am getting better although I now have anxiety from practically everything in life. The symptoms are exhausting especially heart feels heavy and the dizziness is too much but prayer and your video helps alot in grounding me. I hope we all heal from our anxiety and panic attacks 🙏🏾

Denis each video you put up, it feels like your speaking directly to me! I’ve dealt with anxiety for years, been medicated, took the leap to stop medicine and do a more natural way of healing my anxiety Yoga, meditation, exercise, essential oils and it all worked great! I got myself to a place I felt great so I didn’t need to do certain things anymore right?! WRONG! My anxiety stuck and panic attacks started and I felt like I had zero control, of course something had to be wrong and the dr’s were missing something, overlooking something! I found you and you have changed my entire perspective in this journey! My panic attacks have stopped, my dizziness has stopped, I still experience the symptoms but I’m getting better at recognizing I’m healthy, I’m safe, I’m ok! Speaking to my inner child has helped me tremendously! I’ve took your advice and really payed attention to who I was surrounding myself with, and the environments I’m spending time in, what a difference! I’ve forgiven people from my past which was not easy but was absolutely necessary for my own mental health! You are a life saver! I appreciate all of your advice, and guidance! You truly are a blessing and I’m very thankful to have come across you on KZbin! Much love and peace!

One of the things that I do that takes me off the path, is that I don't come back here to watch your videos. When I feel less symptomatic, I often think that "now I got it, I live life without worry" and yeah, often I go out and overdo things. I need these videoes to help me stay on path, probably as a reminder every day. I've been having health anxiety for 3 years in different degrees, meaning it has gotten worse because I continued to react to the symptoms and worries leading to me starting to having panic attacks back in June.

This video was so great and perfect timing.Number 4, 9, and 10 spoke the most to me. Number 8 about being proactive daily was very informative because I am trying to do that but I was second guessing myself thinking I was babying myself by doing that. I like the idea of mini vacations. I was sort of doing that by regularly starting to do you 5 minute health anxiety surrender meditation when my body felt tense but I see I need to schedule and switch it up a bit with my meditation. This last bit of healing is quite a challenge but the wins are so much greater too. I think that is why I push myself to hard sometimes, like you said in number 4. Fear of not being afraid and fear of feeling the 'goodness' mentally, physically, and emotionally still triggers me a bit. I just keep going with baby steps and practicing patience. As always thank you for your guidance.

I have relatively recent anxiety and panic attack history. I went through all of it. Occasionally feel symptoms pop up. Just tonight, woke up with them. A tall glass of water and controlled breathing worked To bring these symptoms to a halt. Sometimes even after recovery you have to take simple steps such as these. Just a reminder to breathe in and out with purpose and hydrate with water - could be all most people need

"Always trust your gut" or "mother's intuition" are sayings that can make me crazy, especially if I start worrying about one of my kids and then I think Oh I better check on them cause you know, "mother's intuition" means there must be a problem as if I'm psychic and I'm having a premonition. There's nothing wrong with using things like your knowledge and experience to care for your kids and if you know your child should have been home by now, but isn't for example, but when it's keeping you up for no other reason than some random scary thought then it's become a problem.

Good presentation as always. The piece that spoke to me the most was staying focused on my healing and not being over the map looking for other sources of knowledge. I can relate to all of what you are saying. I started this journey months ago and my progress is something I am proud of. I wouldn't presume to say I am close to healed as I don't know that that feels like yet but I have a real good take on what it will feel like. And I will get there, I'm not in a rush, I see my subtle changes and celebrate them all. Being hyper focused on my symptoms is what I believe to be my biggest hurdle. Laughing them off in a non mocking way is most effective. Or, as I have learned in surrendering, feel it, greet it and accept it. Thank you again from a grateful follower for sharing your wisdom. 🙏❤️

#1. #5, #8, #9 yes, I can’t let go and fall into the hole. I fight it so hard eventhough I keep telling myself it’s redirecting but it felt worse. I get stuck in the hole deeper. I’ve obsessive with my healing which ends up feeling like a hill getting steeper and steeper. I did laugh about the hour by hour comparison. I do this with the days .

Anxiety as a 34 year old male has made my life hell. I have tried everything and nothing works. I feel fucked up and that this won’t get better.

@@martingonzales thank you very much for asking. I’ve got good days and bad days. There are times where I feel pretty riddled with intense anxiety. I’d say the worst part for me is knowing that I’m being viewed as inferior, weird or some other negative judgment. Introspectively, I can’t help but internalize that negative experience to mean something about myself. So I avoid situations like that in the future. In reality, it’s not true, but the emotional and logical part of myself are always at odds. And part of me believes that we have an obligation to do what scares us. How has your experience been thus far?

@@Freedom_is_essential1 I agree, we do have an obligation to do what scares us. I think i understand the logical and emotional gap. Like i know im fine and safe, but god damn i am feeling scared today for no reason. Its the future projections that are annoying. bolstered by past ruminations. I think the present moment is the only medicine. Its funny yesterday I felt Aces, Today i feel crazy, like i was reading about dating and anxiety, whoops

@@martingonzales it’s really hard to have congruent logical and emotional alignment. Like my logical thought rarely matches up with how I feel. And I gotta tell ya, reading about dating and attraction has been pretty fascinating. Dating in particular with intense anxiety is extremely challenging. It seems like women can instinctively pick up on nervousness. Unfortunately, I am a very guarded and private person in the public sense, so I haven’t felt comfortable in the past sharing that I have anxiety or nervousness as I felt like it would eliminate attraction and honestly worse that it would deeply embarrass me…… With that said though, I come to the realization that vulnerability and authenticity are attractive and it’s byproduct is people gravitate to that person because they are not full of shit. And I am slowly getting to the point where I’d rather be real about where I am at, even if it’s deemed not attractive. I would hope that maybe it’ll help lessen the nervous energy too. Who knows. I’m enjoying this exchange btw!

I find it very interesting almost comical how the health anxiety I experience bounces around my body at different times. Like when I'm anxious about my brain and every little symptom I feel connected to my brain, (I had a TBI) The rest of me is fine, but once I get that under control it switched to my digestive issues. Then I spiral with anxiety about my digestion. And the moments that I feel really good with no anxiety no symptoms my brain begins to go where are the symptoms there's got to be something wrong and it searches for it LOL how do you change that?!
