Difference between ebay kleinanzeigen and plain ebay is that ebay kleinanzeigen doesn't involve the bidding process of traditional ebay. You just talk directly to the other person instead of entering a bid. It's a bit like craigslist in the US based on what i heard.

Another difference (in addition to Jens W.) between ebay kleinanzeigen and normal ebay is that Kleinanzeigen is (in many cases) for free for the seller. Only if you sell more than 50 items within 30 days you will have to pay a fee for the further cases.

How does WhatsApp work if you purchase a German phone plan, eSim or what not? (I just watched your video on “what are the best eSim providers in Germany”) If you have data through that phone plan, would you still be able to use SMS, if you needed to? Sorry of this query doesn’t make much sense.

As far as we know WhatsApp is based on your phone number, e.g when we travel to the US, we get a local SIM card for data but still use WhatsApp with the connected German number. If you want to send SMS you need a German phone number and plan that offer everything and not just data. Hope that makes sense.

Woah, thanks! I was slightly surprised about Whatsapp though, I know a German person who's not using it (and other messengers and Facebook) for privacy reasons, so they're sending sms! As I don't know a lot of Germans, I just assumed there are a lot of people like that, but good to know that it's not that widespread!

Uber has been working fine in big cities in Germany for the past years. We haven’t heard anything about it being banned in Hamburg. You can always use Free NOW as an alternative - it’s an app to call taxis to your location.

That is a good question. We have great experience with the pre installed Apple weather app, so we can't really tell you alternatives. Wetter.com seems to have an app as well, maybe you can give that a try 😊
