I’m always sad when I remember that Eddie passed right as Money in the Bank began. Mr. Lie, Cheat, and Steal with the briefcase would’ve been incredible

Was alive for the first and missed the second, didn’t he? Would’ve been perfect for the second, but I feel like RVD’s win was important. That moment at one night stand with RVD and Cena is like no other in the history of the company

Wanna hear something crazy, but cool? *Every storyline Shawn Michaels was in since his match with Ric Flair at Mania 24 led to that first match with the Undertaker, and thus, everything that took place that final year.*

3:30 - Another thing to note, I think, is that according to the Internet Wrestling Database, Rick Steiner actually has the _highest winning percentage in WWE history,_ only failing to win 4 out of his 68 matches between December 1992 and April 1994 (one of which being the '94 Royal Rumble) for a WWE winning percentage of *92.6471%.*

It's ironic that a lot of the talent's best year was in 2008. 2008 was a good year for a lot of people in WWE.

@mitchellima7548

Part of why 2008 worked so well was because they had the edge and freedom of the ruthless aggression era while moving away from the over top, edgy for the sake of edgy shitty tv 14 stuff that plagued so much of the ladder ruthless aggression era as they were going to pg programming. 2008 is exactly what wwe should be aiming for in terms of presentation. It’s actually quite similar to today in many ways, not a one for one match but i think you can see the similarities. Both are extremely critically a claim years as well

Bret Hart's final full time year in the WWF was the best in his career, and should arguably be number 1 on this list. The legendary feud with Stone Cold between Survivor Series '96 and WM13, the Canadian hero run following that, title win against Taker at Summerslam and at the tail end the rivalry with HBK and DX that culminated in the most controversial shoot of all time.

They don’t count it cause of his awful run in 2010. Otherwise, 100% agree. His 10/96-11/97 run was awesome.
@aaronroyal9449
@aaronroyal9449 Жыл бұрын
I was gonna post pretty much the same thing. You can't count 2010 when he did like 3 matches. If we're gonna count runs that short then on the flip side, Steamboat's 2009 should be on here. Bret's last year was one of the best 12 months runs ever. We are still talking about the Mania 13 match, the 10 man tag and Montreal to this day. The Canadian Bizarro world has been recycled in some form by WWE itself and many other promotions including Long Island/MJF. He may have ended that run on a bitter note but overall it was legendary and still has ripple effects to this day.
@tapan97
@tapan97 Жыл бұрын
@@aaronroyal9449 it's massively underappreciated. Doesn't help that WWE's curated tour of history hardly ever highlights it other than the Screwjob.

@@dukes1993724 they actively dismissed things like that though in the list already like flair, and HBK. so id say to disqualify bret for that vince fued would be at best disingenuous.

Without Vince and the WWE Machine Bret Hart put the entire world to sleep in WCW. I am unsure if that counts as a mass submission or not though. I mean wearing the metal sapy plate when Goldberg tackled him was pretty decent so maybe we count that year😂
