Most creators in this category either just barely deliver what they advertise in the thumbnail and title, or flat out under-deliver! However, you just over-the-top over-delivered! You are not just giving a rehash of what others are doing and saying, but actually providing new content and super-valuable information! Thank you!

hey man, for an account under 2k subs. i gotta say this is one of the best tip videos for beginners looking to get into creating content but not knowing where to look for things to be able to create with. i knew most of the sites from creating content for years myself (not here on youtube until recently and also not on this account) but honestly jam packed full of information and great sites to use.

I’m 60 and very tech challenged, but will soon be traveling for years from Mexico to Argentina and then a few years bouncing around SE Asia. I would love to start a KZbin channel but starting to play with shotcut video editing….seems challenging for me. Hoping this list will help me. I am really starting with no idea what I am doing. Thx for this list !
@jakubfilipek57022 жыл бұрын
When I clicked the video, it surprised me, how high quality you are doing it. When I looked at the subs count, i thought it was saying 1,7 mil , not 1,7 thousand. I think your production value is at top level, I would value you at about 800 thousand subs!

7:24 I can’t speak for Android, but for the iPhone, you do not need a third party app to capture screen footage. There’s one built into its control center where you can screen record and capture the audio if you’re doing a tutorial via phone.

Thanks Jay for this much needed video 💕 1 question though - how do we add animations like the ones who have for honorable mentions? Thanks
@jaymayor2 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! This depends on the editing software you're using. I'm using FCPX with a simple callouts template from Envato Elements to do the text animations. So you can either search for templates for your editor, or you can make the animations yourself. There's a good tutorial on this by EJ Tech called "How To Make Animated Lower Thirds For Free! With Shotcut Video Editor Tutorial" if you're using Shotcut. Hope this helps!

by the way, while im watching you in this video i realized you got a very crispy clear video of yourself. can you please share your camera (and settings), desk setup tour, and video editing techniques. thanks so much...
@jaymayor2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! I'll have to make videos on the camera/settings, studio tour, and editing techniques in the near future. In the mean time, you can see a list of all the gear I'm using in the description. My camera is a ZV-E10 with the kit lens and I'm shooting 4k video (color temp 4700K) which gives that clear crisp image you described. I use 2 main lights each at 45-degrees at a matching color temp of 4700K (links to these are in the description). For audio I use a Rode VideoMic GO II shotgun mic boomed above my head pointing at my mouth just out of the shot (about 10 inches away), and this fantastic mic plugs directly into the ZV-E10. That covers the main things. Check out the description for a full list. Hope this helps!

Jay, I watched this whole video and , I want to ask you, a question. I want to read e books on line and I need to leave a voice sample with them and how do I do It in the form of a mp3? I will assume I get a job so , what to is can I after , I start ,use a lap top and record my recording thon my lap top. But, what size or type of recording will it be? Mp3 or what. And, If I use a lap top for my studio then would my Head set with mike be ok to use or should I get something else?? Thanks Jay very much.
@jaymayor2 жыл бұрын
Hey wiliam! If you’d like to record your voice for audiobook narration, your mic is by far the most important piece of equipment you’ll want to get right and a headset will likely not give you the sound quality you’ll want. You will probably want a cardioid condenser mic (like the Blue Yeti) with a pop filter to soften your p’s and k’s. This kind of mic is able to pick up the richness of the human voice, which is essential for an enjoyable audiobook experience. I’d record in at least 44.1kHz to ensure good enough quality. Search Google for the article “How to Record Your Own High-Quality Audiobook in 6 Steps” by reedsyblog and see Part 3. This article goes in depth on what you’ll need, more than I can here. Best of luck!

If you don't mind, what is your background? This video is too high quality to be your first. 200 subs in 2 weeks from a single video is incredible! (As I am someone who is putting together my first focused videos this month and hope to see this kind of growth)

I have an engineering background, so not a lot of overlap with video production. I took a few courses on making videos through Skillshare and researched the heck out of what equipment I'd need (camera, mic, etc). I put links to all of the gear I use in the description in case that's useful to you. I've also been looking at other channels for ideas/inspiration, I feel like you can learn a lot just by seeing what's already working for people. Best of luck!
