Rick Alvarado well, in SM64 DS, there's actually a second King Bobomb fight mission after the first in Bobomb Battlefield, so he's not dead, at least in the DS version. whether you want to take that as "canonical" or not is up to you 😂😂

Fun fact about the pikmin-esque spaceship in Space Junk Galaxy: There are actually two of it in that galaxy and they are quite far apart from each other; one is used in the 1st mission and the other in the 3rd. And the ship is actually also in Ghostly Galaxy for some reason off in the distance a little bit, but there's no way to get to it so why it's there is unknown.

Literally just got all 120 Shines in the last 45 minutes haha, I also left all 240 Blue Coins until after every other Shine Sprite. Got all 120 Stars on 64 on release day too, so just Galaxy left to complete now!

The mystery book in Mario Sunshine at the bottom of the water level inside the structure. When you position the camera to look behind the door, there is an unused book that has been sitting there. It used to be a mystery on online forums when It released.

For example if you’re in the pyramid on a mission that requires you to be in there when you die and jump back in the level, assuming you have more lives you will automatically start inside the pyramid instead of outside of it like normally.
