Some of my cozy favorites are The Starless Sea and Anxious People! I also love A Psalm for the Wild-Built!

I read Lolly Willowes in October, I think your by your recommendation, and loved it! I recently read The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong and it was very cozy.

Robin McKinley! I love her books. I’d never heard of “Chalice,” but that sounds like a great cozy read. Mine was rereading “The Bear and the Nightingale” trilogy by Katherine Arden.

Great recommendations! I don’t know if this has been said in other comments, but Beth O’Leary’s The Switch and The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna are two cozy books I talk about often.

I find that the lack of light in winter makes me want to sleep in the evenings so I end up falling asleep reading a book rather than read it.

I love hearing about your take on literature, cosy or otherwise, as it is so different to mine! It has stretched me to reading fantasy in the past and will continue to do so in the future. My slightly older lady version of a cosy book in the lead up to Christmas is Winter Solstice by Rosamund Pilcher, which is set in Scotland and gives me a warm feeling about humanity each time I read it, which is usually every December!

I grew up reading Robin McKinley, so it shouldn't surprise me how much I've become obsessed with cozy books as an adult, lol. For me, the most comfortable of her books are Spindle's End and both her versions of Beauty and the Beast. And I think that Meg Cabot is another writer who's books also hit that cozy spot between comfort and nostalgia for me. Sarah Addison Allen is another author whose books are very cozy with a bit of magical realism (my favorites are Garden Spells and The Sugar Queen), and I would also say there is something cozy about T. Kingfisher's writing but I would specifically recommend her middle grad fantasy A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking

I'm not usually much of a contemporary romance fan, but you sold me on Best Hex Ever and Along for the Ride. I've read about half of the books in the video and loved them, so maybe I'll like those too. I've been craving cozy fantasy lately and read Books and Broadswords by Jessie Mihalik last month. My only problem with it was that it was too short. I also loved Legends and Lattes and the prequel and I have a similar book, only with tea, on my TBR for next year called Can't Spell Treason Without Tea by Rebecca Thorne.

Two books I have on my list from Blackwell's (I'm in the States) are A Bookshop Christmas by Rachel Burton and The Bookseller's Gift by Felicity Hayes-McCoy (I'm also getting Whisky Business😊.) Oh, when I was about to leave Blackwell's site my eyes saw this book My Kind Of Trouble by L A Schwartz. No matter what you chose, I hope you have a great December reading.🎄📚🎄

Cosy reading is probably more about revisiting a favourite author, regardless of genre. So, any Discworld book would be cosy reading for me 😂

If you haven't checked out Kimberly Lemming's Mead Mishaps series, I'd definitely recommend it! They're fantasy, romance, humorous, and cozy. The first one is That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon.
