The Emily Wilde sequel is one that I'm looking forward to the most out of this list. I was disappointed when I got to the end of the first two books because I wanted more in the series and didn't want to wait for the next one.

Here in lies the problem with reading series as they come out (worth it though aha).

Oh man legally blonde medieval au is a genius premise!!!! Complete sidenote - do your anthologies of myths have content warnings in them by any chance?? I've noticed some collections have started doing that which is super handy, but no worries if not ofc!

@@jayciecarter2928 oh no they don’t! I’ve been including them in my fiction and adult nonfiction but it isn’t the MCL standard. However I’m compiling one right now for 2026 and I’m actually inspired to bring that up with them now so thank you!

I look forward tot Ninshubar by Emily H. Wilson, to be published in August, I believe - loved Inanna and have yet to read Gilgamesh, but that will be solved in the next few months :) Loved your recommendations! Will check out Emily Wilde, Medievally Blonde, The Message, The Amber Owl and Fulvia - there is just way too much good stuff to read, so I have to divide nu attention and also focus on books I already have :')

I generally don't enjoy romance-novels but Medievally Blonde sounds and looks sooooo cool that I might just change my mind. Some of my most anticipated books by favourite authors are Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy, Owning It edited by Jen Campbel, Katabasis by R.F. Kuang and Kirsty Logans new collection. Also, Greenteeth purely based off its source-mythology

The two books I've pre-ordered for next year are both non-fiction. Everything is Tuberculosis, by John Green, and Genocide Bad, by Sim Kern.
