Had he not, they may have been able to take the scouts out without chasing them, which would have meant no speeder bike collision that got Leia introduced to the Ewoks. The Rebels would have been ambushed with no Teddy Bear saviors. The shield would have stayed up. Death Star Two is completed. All avoided because Han stepped on a twig.

The Imperials not shooting the escape pod from Leia's ship with the two droids (and the death star plans) on it should be on the list. Lucas selling the franchise to Disney had the biggest and worst impact on the galaxy far far away.

Darth Vader's orders were to "return the plans to his master" not destroy them. It's never explained exactly why they wanted them returned, not destroyed but- there you go. They had a few chances to destroy them if they wanted to- Vader purposely boarded the ship to retrieve them.

Man you just had to be there in 1999 when the Phantom Menace released. When Maul ignited that second side of his lightsaber, it was wild. I was 12 years old and saw it with my dad. We had just gone to Taco Bell which was also running a Star Wars tie in promotion, and then saw the movie in a theater. Back then, I didn't have easy access to the Internet so I had no idea what was coming. I know the prequels were controversial at the time, but as a nerdy tween, Episode 1 was absolutely thrilling.

No Qui-Gon Jinn death? If he would have been able to train Anakin he might not have been so easily pulled to the dark side. Obi wan was not ready to train a padawan, especially Anakin; even Yoda didn’t want him to train Anakin. Anakin was too old and Yoda knew something was off.

If Qui-Gon would have survived, he'd have likely become Anakin's father figure instead of Palps. Obi-Wan was always more like an older brother than a father to Anakin, and that left Palpatine to step into that role and corrupt him.

I think your dead on! If Qui-gon had survived to train Ani, I think it would have gone very differently. Your straight on with the father figure analogy. Qui-gon would have helped Anakin with ALL his issues. He was always more grey Jedi really. He knew when to follow orders but he 100% followed the will of the force. Anakin would have never turned if he was trained by Qui-gon.

sad part is the Jedi Council with all their strict rules was in fact the cause of their downfall if they would have helped Anikin come to terms with his fears he would not have turned to the Darkside of the force so easy but to be honest the first 3 Episodes was only to show how Anikin became Darth Vadar in the first place

Palpatine could have found another senator or representative easy enough to manipulate to allow palpatine to pass the military creation act, even if jar jar hadn't became a member in the galactic senate.

It is probably explained somewhere multiple times, but watching this video raised a series of questions: 1) When exactly was Order 66 implemented? As in: When did the chips receive that upgrade? 2) Did Darth Sidious know by that time already that Anakin would join him? 3a) If he didn't or at least not for sure: Why did he exclude him from the order? Or 3b) Was the exclusion some kind of "last minute update"? As in: "Execute all Jedi." update... update... "except Anakin Skywalker" With anything but this, it wouldn't make sense why the clones didn't attack Anakin. Because [most of] the clones didn't know (and after Order 66 didn't care) about the Sith. So how would they know not to target Anakin?!
