I’m an old Muay Thai fighter. Haven’t fought in 15 years, I’m 45 now. But I really want to start boxing. Not for competition, I just feel that drive. My family says I’m to old! That’s nice! But I’m 6.1 and about 180. Any advice coach? Love from Norway 🤙🏼

hi mate search - Tony Jeffries how to face fear
@ralfybaby7 ай бұрын
I personally think the best way to lose your fear of getting hit is to join any kind of full contact fighting sport or martial art gym or club. You figure out soon enough that getting smacked in the face is not that big a deal and you learn to stay composed. I don't think you can learn that from a video. Of course only if you are young enough I did that in my early 20s but now I am in my early 60s of course that does not wash anymore 🤣

Doing so much boxing is bound to have some injuries right? I hit the bag at the wrong angle and now have a painful wrist. Any suggestions on how to treat/heal faster?
@ralfybaby7 ай бұрын
I did that on my bag at home. 😬I always try and hold my wrist super straight as I am not new to punching. It hurt for months! But this time I was just a couple of degrees off ... I knew I was "fooked" as Tony would say even before I hit the bag. Ouch!! So now I just take the time to wrap my wrists as per Mr. Jeffries' method .... 😉
@parth14877 ай бұрын
@@ralfybaby yeaah I get that. I have been hitting since 4 months now and this time my cross didn't go center of the bag it went a little off the my wrist turned due to the force and now it hurts like a beeesh!
@friccmanchapel40467 ай бұрын
work out your forearms, strong forearms will stabilize your wrist better, so your wrist don't turn even if you hit slightly off center

Can someone tell me the benefit of hitting bags is it gonna nake me faster accurate or wut?
@jesseexline3154 ай бұрын
I’m no expert, or even amateur, but I hit a heavy bag to help with power, positioning, movement, and speed, as well as help increase my muscle gain after a workout. If you practice different combinations with different body and head positions, your essentially practicing skills needed for an actual fight/ match.
