MBZ Master I have a 2017 E400 and a smartphone. On my phone, I can ask to call "Jane" from my address book. How can I do this in my E400?

You can see on the right side of the E-Class steering wheel, at 3:22 of this video, there is a voice control button right above the phone pickup button. Press it once and wait until it beeps. After the beep say: "Call name". The car will ask you: ""The name please". Just say: "Jane". You may also say "Call Jane". Just make sure your contacts from your phone are synced with the car when you pair it via Bluetooth.

Double tap on the brake pedal initiates the ‘hold’ function allowing you to take your foot off the brake pedal when you’re stuck in traffic for long periods. Saves you blinding the guy behind with your brake lights. Simply press the gas pedal when you want to move off again. Great little feature.

Just insert the card into an Sd card slot, it's plug and play. Drive under open sky for the initial handshake with the satelite. But make sure your car is definitely pre-wired before buying a card. You can check at any MB dealership based on your VIN number.

Hi, nice videos! I have Mercedes ML350 Blutech 2015. The roll down feature it works in my car by press and hold the unlock button. But unfortunately the roll up it doesn't work but pressing and hold the lock button from the remote key. Is there another way to it? Please help. Thank you !

Try to come closer to a door and point toward the door handle, while pressing and holding the LOCK button. Maybe the SmartKey battery is going low. Does your car have Keyless Go with sensors in the door handles? If yes, try to touch the door handle sensor and hold, like I've shown in this video.

When you press LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time, make sure to HOLD both and don't release them... until the red flashes. Also try to do it while standing next to your car door. Let me know if it worked.

Good Morning, My B service is coming up and bring it to the dealers for the service is close to $700 plus this plus that and you end up paying more like $1000 before you get the car back, my question to you is is it necessary to do the service with the dealership or outside oil change place is fine? and if so what kind of oil should i use? $1,000 is excessive! I would check prices from some other MB dealerships on their websites. But you don't have to do service at MB Dealership, you can service your car anywhere you want. Just make sure the shop is specializing in Mercedes vehicles and do some search online - there are lots of them!

If your car is equipped with Active Headlights, they will adjust themselves when needed, and it's not really noticable when you drive.

That turns off ESP, ABS, Airbags, etc... all the safety features. Be carefull if you turn off anything, because it will greatly affect your safety. Sometimes you need to turn off some features for diagnostics of problems - to run some tests. Some people use it - to take the car on the track to do some "spinning donuts" or put the car into skids, but I wouldn't advise it.

@@MBZMaster thanks bro but recently I did change all break pads front and rear the machanic never used that option instead he used diagnostic tool to reset I guess he or mojority don't even know about this option. In fact I had also front disks replaced and rear some turner work done for alignment or cleaning. However he did not do any bleeding to ensure no air entered the system. And due to covid-19 lockdown car is driven very rarely and than suddenly after 4 months got red light for break sign and a meesage "check break fluid level". I did top up but did not help in fact the owner manual also said so it won't help. So I brought the car to carage and was told to replace break fluid reservoir tank as the sensor attached to it is defective. I am wondering why this has happened is it because of the air in the system due to the work done and the entire break system in mercedes is designed such a way instead of damaging break master cylinder it somehow after sometime affect sensor instead as a warning message to do break fluid bleeding?!

1. In this video I've shown how to delete all your private data before you sell your car or do a lease return, so no one has access to it. Your cell phone should have all your contacts and numbers already.. 2. This can be done in Settings, as a matter of fact I'm doing the video right now on how to adjust settings, so subscribe to my channel - so you'll be notified as soon it's released. 3. Not that I've known on 2015 models. On newer models you can get it through MB Apps. So rule of thumb: 35 mph - street; 65 mph highway - unless street signs state more or less otherwise.

The red triangle inside the mirror is not a turning signal. It's a Blind Spot Assist. It tells you if someone is driving in your blind zone, before you change lane.

Aux battery is very small, it's actually a simple capacitor. Usually located under the passenger footwell or under front passenger seat, but make sure to check the correct location based on your model and year.

MBZ Master, Are you familiar with doing an adaptive transmission reset? I have this vehicle. it is a 2017 GLS 450. I have noticed a hard shift from time to time. I drove it in sports mode the other day and got a hard shift twice when I drove it out of first gear to second gear. I also had this happen when I slowed down and had to speed up. I heard that resetting the adaptive transmission can help. I did a reset with my Acura and it worked. What do you think?

Mercedes has a foot-sensitive gas pedal. So it reacts differently, depending on how you press it/drop it. If you press smoothly - the transmission will shift smoothly. Press hard - transmission will upshift harder. If you floor it - the engine will build up a maximum torque for uninterrupted acceleration... as long as you keep your foot on the floor - the car will accelerate. But if you drop the pedal suddenly - the car will downshift, thinking you want to slow down. It takes time to get used to it, especially when you used to drive a different car. I'm planning to make video explaining how it works, so stay tuned. If you think you have a problem, your car should be still under warranty if it's under 50k miles, so you can show to a MB dealership for diagnostics. @@MBZMaster Thank you for your reply. Another issue is that sometimes the vehicle thinks before it changes gears. If I slow down then accelerate the vehicle thinks about it before it goes into gear. This happens intermittently not all the time. This never happens when I come to a stoplight or stop sign to bring the vehicle to a complete stop but it only happens when I slow the vehicle down than speed it up to accelerate. I did notice this the first day I purchased the vehicle and drove it home. It only happens when I slow down then speed up not when I come to a complete stop. Both Mercedes dealerships don’t know what I am talking about. What could this be? This is is why I wanted to do a reset to the transmission.

Hi mate, i have an r class cdi 300 2012 mode. I can connect the car to my phone over bluetooth and can make calls. But the audio section is not showing up bluetooth device so i can play music. Thank you for the tips on how to use the phone functions. I have a 2018 GLE. Each time I use voice command for the navigation function, it asks me to unlock my phone, go to setting and allow location services. Si i have always to put location services ON in order to use the car navigation system ? What if my phone isn’t on me, can I use the car navigation system? It is a bit awkward because to my understanding a navigation system should work without the need for a phone. Thanks for answering my questions 🙂

The original Mercedes Navigation (if your car has it) doesn't need your phone. The original Voice Control (if your car has it) doesn't need your phone. But if you use the voice control button to talk to your cell phone, then you have to make sure your phone is unlocked. One more question. What is the white P letter in a blue square appearing on the dashboard? It appears and goes ....and sometimes has an arrow beside on the right side or left side.

It's a Parktronic with Park Assist. When you drive very slow, the arrow shows that there is enough space to park your car on the side. And if you put transmission in Reverse - the car will park itself. Just release the steering wheel, but keep your foot on the brake pedal just in case. I'm going to demo how to use it in one of my upcoming videos, so stay tuned!

Hello, I have a 400 S Mercedes. Its right front door magnet, which should tightly close the door dose not work, and the door remain loose, unless I forcefully close it. how can I resolve this problem? thanks

The door may need an alignment, it may be out of its place. Usually happens if the vehicle was previously involved in the accident, but not necessarily. Any body-shop can fix it easily. Or the suction actuator needs to be checked/tested and fixed/replaced if needed.

@@MBZMaster Thank you so much for your advise. Actually the door is completely in its normal position. The magnet force which should close the door to its final closed position is not working!

C200 204 model When I select voice control this only goes to,Sat nav¡ can you help me set up voice control for other options?

It looks like your car isn't equipped with the voice control as it's optional. Some Navigation systems like Garmin for example, come with its own (non Mercedes) voice control. That's why you can only control your navi by voice and nothing else.

Great training video. Especially liked the text being read. One question for future, the radio must be on to have rear camera work. I like to drive without radio (muted), is there a trick to get rear camera to always work even if radio is off?

The camera will always work, even you turn off the radio. However, I wouldn't turn off the screen. If you don't want to listen to radio, just mute it.

We just got e400 2016 a big change from the ml350 2008 some of the features are really different. I can’t seem to connect to the Bluetooth my dads phone did but the music won’t work?

When you play music, you have to connect to bluetooth source separately.

I’m sorry about this but like how. it says the Bluetooth is activated we can call and do other stuff. Just not the music and sorry again for not fully understanding you I’m helping my dad to understand all the functions rn

Does auto down of the windows work on the passenger side? Mine works from drivers. But cant get it to work on passenger side.

Should work on all doors.

The remote does not function on the passenger side. When pressed on drivers side all windows go down and roof opens. But if i try that from passenger side it does not function.

Make sure to point toward the door handle. Then press and hold the unlock button. Don't release it until windows move. Does your car have Keyless Go?

Yes i have keyless go.. remote does not work from passsenger side.
