@@brennanshane146ain’t no way Kirk is a legend, but Gary Moore and Peter Green are true legends. they had great technic and soul, but Kirk doesn’t have both, he can’t even play clearly and do some good and wide vibrattos like Gary. His solos are very typical ‘cause he just uses some pentatonic scales with wah, and he is also known for the lack of technic in his playing. So you are right about Peter and Gary because they were guitar legends, but Kirk isn’t and don’t even say that Kirk has his own style. Actually he does, but his style is low technics and a lot of wah. that is all.

Randy Rhoads’s Polka-Dot V with the harpoon headstock was a custom build by Karl Sandoval from a custom body and a Danelectro neck. Rhoads later went to Grover Jackson of Charvel to design his offset V Concorde which was later revised and rebranded posthumously as the Rhoads or RR. Afraid it would be too brash for the Charvel label, it was among the first Jackson branded guitars.

@@Anonymousguy77-d8s From what I've read, Randy Rhoads was a bit superstitious about new guitars (which is why you never see any photos of him playing his Les Paul Black Beauty or stringthru black Jackson Concorde in concert: they were more recent acquisitions before his untimely death). Also, I believe the Stratocaster with the natural finish he was often photographed with was loaned by a manager or recording engineer for Quiet Riot (Edit: It was owned by QR's first roadie and all-around badass Harold Friedman), but was not owned by Randy. Folks also seldom mention his first guitars being his grandfather's 1930s Gibson acoustic or his first electric being an SG.

Tony actually switched to a boutique version of the SG. What you see him playing in the late seventies/early eighties is not a Gibson. It was made by his guitar tech and friend.

The Flying V shown for Randy Rhoads is actually a Karl Sandoval custom Flying V with the polka dot paint job. Later Jackson made the Concorde V which was the original Randy Rhoads V made by Jackson but was too bulky and uncomfortable which made them redesign it and then eventually make the Jackson Rhoads model that we know today.
