All these women who purposely file false rape allegations should be locked up for longer than the person they accuse.
@jackjordan67167 жыл бұрын
True shit. False rape allegations are the worst. One of my brother's friends was a businessman who got accused of rape. His business was shut down, his parents wouldn't talk to him, he went to prison for four months. He was cleared of the charges eventually because the woman tried to pull of the same thing on some other guy and it blew up. His parents still won't talk to him.

Jack Jordan if you are accused of being a paedophile or doing a child related crime, then the jailers would probably end up killing you brutally anyway. We had a talk with some guy who went to pan American prison for selling drugs. On the very first day of going to jail, he was grabbed by the other prisoners who asked him what he was in jail for. They let him go after he said he sold drugs but apparently if he was done for the other crime, he would have been beaten to death. You have cards that state your crime so they know you are not lying. If you are accused falsely, would you go to jail and be brutally beaten to death?

Cameron Todd Willingham. His story is a horrific one and will probably stay with me for a long while. He was arrested and charged with 1991 arson of his Corsicana, Texas home which killed his three little ones. His case was mishandled so severely that no one looked at it again until AFTER his execution in 2004. Nine expert arson investigators looked at the evidence and claimed that there was no sign of arson and the fire was just a fire that started in a completely different area than the prosecution had pushed. Flawed science was used, people outright lied, including his ex-wife who said he confessed to her and has changed her story dozens of times on record, witness stories didn't add up and contradicted each other, and no one is taking responsibility for any wrongdoing with the entire case. The prosecutor denies any wrongdoing and believes those calling this case into question are opponents of the death penalty, refusing to address the finds of the nine expert arson investigators. I believe the death penalty should be used on a case by case basis, but this case reeks of corruption on so many levels. Cameron Todd Willingham was an innocent man who felt devastated that he could not save his children from the house fire.

Why is it always DNA testing that proves them innocent Why don't they test the DNA before they are punished
@FireXConor5 жыл бұрын
The reason why they didn’t test them before Is because, during the time most of them were arrested, DNA testing wasn’t even a thing yet or in its infancy. So they could test them at the time, dude.

My cousin's ex girlfriend abused her children(we even have actual footage of it and I witnessed it) but she falsely reported my cousin doing it and he was locked up and wasn't even given a chance to defend himself. He was continuously insulted at court and declared guilty for absolutely no reason. The only "evidence" was his stupid ex saying that he did. That's a simple claim, not evidence! What kind of court system is that? He and his lawyer barely got to say a word. And he's still in prison, said to be released in a year to be on probation like for life. And he's one of the most nicest, mature, respectful people you can ever find. He also kinda mentally disabled and 100% illiterate so he didn't understand anything that was going on. But you know, the prison has a quota to meet, and doesn't care if someone's innocent or not, because money talks... The court even told my cousin's ex that they had to lock up one of them(to meet their fucking quota), and there you go... And yet we still have feminists fighting for women's rights, even though men are locked up like 8 times more than women and receive far worse punishments for the exact same crimes...
@hannahjems40177 жыл бұрын
Austin Hernández Why didnt you do anything about it?
@austinhernandez27167 жыл бұрын
Hannah Jems I'm 19 and in college. I don't have any money lol. His mom and my mom both tried to stop it and did hire a lawyer but it didn't help. I told them to ask for like a judicial review because the trial was very unlawful and corrupt.
@sketchjy7 жыл бұрын
Austin Hernández I'm so sorry about what happened, but the reason why there are feminists fighting for women rights is because of the inequality given to them in their daily lives. It's true that women should also be equally punished for their crimes, but I just think women have a good reason to fight.

Anytime an innocent man is imprisoned the justice system fails. Even 1 failure in a system that has the authority to take someone's life means the system is a complete failure. Many states, even after the people are found innocent, force the individual to sign a release, stating that the state is not responsible for this and they will not pursue any legal action against the state. If they refuse to sign they are kept in prison. The compensation that some states give these people is based on a process that calculates the total amount of money the individual could make in the amount of time they were incarcerated based on age, education and ability to work at the time of imprisonment. They do not include any ability to reeducate yourself or better yourself in any manner. These people could have went on to cure cancer but due to injustice within out justice system they never did. Many are never brought to light because the state fears the negative publicity and the costs so they intentionally keep innocent men behind bars.

So you want us to scrap the justice system?

Scrap? No. Reform and fix, yes.
@HeatherCoste7 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Tabor the American "justice" system is really broken. Every time new technology comes out I think ok this is it. This will help fix it. But it never works like that. I hope one day we get some real reform. Even just separating the da from the police would help. One of my fave videos is on a Sunday morning. A public defense lawyer who was never a buddy with the cops. A great example of how changing how public defense lawyers can work if they aren't part of the police system.

I was wrongly accused of a robbery i didn't commit back in 2015. My girlfriend ex boyfriend claimed that i robbed him, at the time i was going through a crisis every job i applied at would turn me down because of the open case, out of frustration i plead guilty to disorderly conduct just so i could land myself a job. Now that i want to be a firefighter it came back to haunt me because the background check is coming up as time served for armed robbery. I only spent 7 days in jail because i couldn't afford bail.

A man living in Ottawa was found guilty by the U.S. for being part of the 9/11 attack. He was simply on vacation with his family over in the U.S. After that, the Canadian government sent him to the Middle East to be tortured for the rest of his life because there is no death penalty in Canada. After many years of being tortured, his torturers told the Canadian government that he was innocent, they couldn't find any evidence proving his guilt. Upon his return, he received 10 million plus dollars. This is the story of Maher Arar.
