Rdr2 is insane. When you go back to the rails they are working on, you will notice they've gotten further. The horses are so detailed in that game that you can see the vains and the heat come off of the horse in a cold setting after riding it for some time. Still nothing can match that game when it comes to detail you wouldn't even think of. If you watch the npcs they have a routine they go though, this includes them taking breaks and eating, going to bed, cleaning, etc. I can't imagine how gta 6 will be.

Horizon Zero Dawn: Every robot is marked with the symbol of the Cauldron where it was built. Same applies to Forbidden West. In fact, at 8:01, when you show the Shell-Walker, you can see the Cauldron symbol on the crate. There's more. If you damage a machine's leg, it'll limp.
@BahamutBreaker

Couple of ideas for lists. 1- games where playing on higher difficulties is made worth it by way of extra modes and unlockables, like in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, where playing on easy unlocks Nick Fury as a PC and playing on normal unlocks a ng+ mode. 2- games where the higher difficulties are unexpectedly, WAY tougher, like in Dante's Inferno, where the first boss fight becomes practically impossible at higher difficulty(because it's before you've got the cross, any magic, or any ability to improve your skills).

20 years ago, the Firearms mod for Half-Life had a different reload animation for the revolver for each number of rounds you actually had to reload, as well as different animations based on whether the gun was empty vs loaded and even what skills you pick for your character. It even had magazine management, so reloading would change the mag, and you can even top off most weapons with an extra round, but whatever number of rounds you had in the magazine when you reloaded would remain, and if you run out of full mags, you would have to reload with a partially full mag unless you stop to merge magazines with a special mechanic. The Firearms mod is just super realistic and impressive especially for its time. Although impressive and detailed, the COD remakes aren't anything super special.

One thing to help the channel. You mention lots of videogame weapons. Please remember a "clip" and "magazine" are completely different. The classic 'PING' noise, and subsequent reload of an old M1 Garand would be the example of a 'Clip'. A metal bracket that is pushed in, with the rounds slotted in. Modern standard rifles use what we would call a 'Magazine'. The typical metal/plastic tall cartridge that bottom feeds the weapon (typically). Only noting that because you use the term a lot, and many of your fire-arm loving fans definitely notice 😅!

MW2 is honestly a great game. It's free until the 20th as a trial with only a playlist or two. But I've been absolutely loving it. It's the same general COD product you would expect but it's really polished this time around. I only buy COD every couple of years (with the last being MW2019) and if you take that route they are honestly great games worthy of the asking price. It's on sale for $60 instead of $70 on BattleNet until next year and definitely worth the asking price imo. Haven't gotten around to playing the campaign yet but I sure hope there are more missions like the ultra realistic house mission from the 2019 reboot. But I'm having a ton of fun in the limited trial that only includes a very limited amount of content. It definitely feels like an extension of the golden era of COD as someone who grew up obsessing over COD4, MW2/3 and Black Ops 1/2. Most of the games since have kind of sucked but this one really hasn't. I only wish this game had a zombies mode, but I guess they have to try to convince you to buy the obviously worse games from Treyarch and Sledgehammer somehow lol. Call of Duty is back.

8:43 Star Wars Battle Front II also places Earth constellations in Tatooine night missions like Galactic Assault, Strike, and Heros vs Villians. Orion is easily found and recognized.

Cool detail in scarlet and violet. Hoppip pokedex says they ride the winds. If you see them in the overworld and a storm starts you can watch them get blow away.

While that’s true I feel the biggest setback is the triple AAA publisher greed and practices. Developers can probably do more with what they have but time doesn’t allow them.

@@vc8448 yes that is true so game developer's just think about quantity over quality instead.

I would love if Gran Turismo 7 would keep their focus more on the cars. I drove today the Bugatti Chiron. You can see the fuel consumption on the dashboard. Thats another cool detail BUT it showed me 20L/100km (11,8mpg) when driving 400km/h (250mph). In reality it is something around 120L/100km (2mpg). Then I tuned it so it had 300hp more and suddenly only 10L/100km (23,5mpg) at 400km/h. But it should have had more than the stock fuel consumption. They have so many small details that look amazing but if you take a closer look you see that many of them are so inaccurate. And what is sad is that it is often just a matter of programming the formulas right. No complex programming.
