So true about the gifts. My love language is gifts and I don't need expensive things, I just prefer to receive love in a distant way like that and it shows me that you do care when you take the time and money (sometimes) to give me something that made you think of me or that you thought I would like

Awesome, thank you for making this. For all of these. It's a good refresher since I've already read the book, and I can see how it would be a good primer for books I haven't read yet. If I remember right, my top 2 love languages are words of affirmation and physical touch. I appreciate how you gave practical examples for each.

Great video! Good choice of book as well. One thing that I don't think you quite covered was that people may speak and hear totally different love languages. For example you mentioned that your father spoke with acts of service, but maybe he responded (heard love) through quality time or physical touch. In other words, just because someone speaks a certain love language it doesn't necessarily mean that it is the love language they are most receptive to. Keep on keeping on brother!

Great review with some really great examples. I just ordered Table Topics because I suspect that quality time is one of my boyfriend’s top two languages. This was really helpful. I also loved the example of the friend with the gifts on standby. That’s a clever friend! I’m currently reading the book but wanted to hear others’ thoughts on it and this was such a great video.

Not sure if you've heard of Richard Rohr, but he led me to checking out the Enneagram. I won't say much more than that, only I believe you'd find it highly enjoyable. Enneagram, Strength Finders 2.0 and Love Languages in that order have greatly benefited my life (along with going to school for psychology).

one language missed is PATIENCE. sometimes people are going through stuff and they just want distance and not to worry about the relationship. Also respect, every relationship is based on a little bit to alot of respect.

Thanks so much for this video. It really makes things a lot easier even being in a relationship for 10 years. This will be fun and helpful for us to watch together. I am more of quality time and physical touch type of girl where he is a act of service and gift type of guy. This is definitely helpful. I subbed and definitely liked!

I Have a Relationship question for anyone who want to give advice. I know a guy , that has A Girlfriend of 5 years , basically wife , they have 3 young children under 5 , They have a problem, that they cant seen t solve related to sex, the Guy wants sex at least once a week , the girl wants it once a month, and niether will budge , the guy says without it he is unhappy, and doesn't feel close to the girl, like hanging around a friend. The girl says i just cant do it when im not in the mood , this problem has been Discussed in 500 ways 500 times. It is effecting every part of the relationship, Both claim to be attracted to each other , get along well other than this problem and are both loving parents, the guys considers ending the relationship over this because he is Genuinely unhappy with once a month. And after all the talks now thinks this will never change, The only reason he hasnt ended it is because he loves the kids and doesn't want to not live with them. He hasnt cheated or tried to meet anyone else.

Compromise for twice a month. For young couple that seems like too little to me but hey? Maybe it's time to make the commitment or move on? How does this improve?

First time I've seen one if your vids and thus is a great synopsis of a fantastic book. Perfect for explaining to my friend what it's about and I learnt a new thing with the words of affirmation, adding that fourth word "... For..." You've earnt a sub from me! I'm looking forward to checking out your other reviews.

HUGE fan of this book! Def not a book manly guys would pick up, but I was like you, once I picked it up I thought it was genius. Gary Chapman went a little crazy after the success of this book and it it like 20 other 5 languages books. Def not reading those; no disrespect to Gary but I feel like I got his best and I'm cool. Lol, you checking out the others?
