I have listened to The Power of Now at least 5 times. I have actually felt changes inside of me while listening to it. Once, I listened to it during a long walk and when I got back in the car and closed the door I just sat in silence for a minute as Eckhart Tolle advised and I just felt this overwhelming sense of bliss. I was crying tears and laughing uncontrollably. Although a small part of me was thinking Wtf is happening here lol. This was about two years ago and It hasn’t happened since. Has anyone else experienced this??

Thank you for sharing your story. I listened to The Power of Now at least 5 times as well. After the first time when the book ended and the bells rings I broke down in tears. I was so overwhelmed with joy. Pure love and peace was flowing through me. Everywhere I went for 2 weeks was pure bliss. I was crying because I felt so in love with strangers at the airport. It changed my life. Since that time I've never experienced it again except for short bursts. It's similar to the effect of mushrooms but was all natural high. All from placing 100% focus on the present moment.

I just recently found your channel and I totally believe it was a sign. I read this book about 3 months ago and it started a journey that has eventually led me here. It changed my whole perspective on life. Over this 3 month period everything felt like it was falling apart, changing. Actually I now know things had to break down, change in order for the teachings I have learned to actually take hold for me. This is a great book. This is a great video summarizing it. I am grateful for both.

I think you're going in the right direction Clark. I've been reading 5 pages of Eckhart Tolle every morning for years. It's a transformational habit. This book is not about extracting information. It's an experience to be revisited as often as possible. Next up, A New Earth?

You hit on a big thing (around the 19/20-minute mark) I learned a few weeks ago. The difference between identity and opinion. This is why so many people get offended and why so many normal topics have become "touchy subjects" - politics included. People don't see their beliefs as opinions anymore but as part of their identity. This means that when we talk about a topic and we disagree, the person who sees their view as part of their identity feels attacked and gets offended. Those who realize that it is an opinion can move on more easily with the disagreement.

This is a great video. Glad I found your channel. I've read this book twice, this is a good refresher. I relate to you a lot, as I also had a dream of being a rock star when I was younger. My band did get signed, but circumstances caused me to leave them right before first tour. Knowing I can't work a normal job, I got hired as an instructor teaching martial arts which is where I am now. But after 18 years, I'm burnt out and feel stagnant, my quest is to get my life to a state of flow, really I just want to feel a zest for life where I look forward to the day and not feel so drained all the time. I feel like I'm on the verge of a break through but there's something holding me back a bit I need to identify and smash through to truly live at my highest potential.

God damn the matrix is weird. I had an amazing dream last night and there was this building in it. I was watching a video in one of my passions, and they stated this book. I then searched and found myself on this video. At the end I was like, I wonder where Tolle is from, most likely Germany. I searched him up, yes he is. I clicked on the city on maps, and a very eerily similar building was the profile pic of the city. Strange shit. I've been on a very steady, consistent, and intensive mindset and self change since early last year. I suppose I'm on the right path. But yeah, the matrix is real 100%.

I understand this is all so important .. but I went through a great tragedy that impacted my looks dramatically and I’m not the same young and beautiful looking person that I was. And I miss my previous looks. I miss my previous life. You talk about forgetting past trauma, mistakes etc.. but you don’t talk about looking like a completely different person and accepting how you look now. Focusing on the now doesn’t give me me previous looks and life back. I can move forward but now I have a different life. Focusing on the now and running toward the future will never replace the sadness of losing my most beautiful self. The things this book doesn’t address is mostly accepting grief. People say “oh that’s the past, forget about it”.. but grief never goes away, it just changes shape. And grief and injustice breaks people.. we can move forward but some people eventually are so broken that there is no forward.. it’s just coping and living with the pain in the now. And just waiting for this life to pass so we can get back when we literally cannot live without.

Ay, you don't live life and you have no life. You are LIFE. You are not your face, and it sounds silly to say it because I definitely agree that it takes a toll on your self esteem and I will not give you any argument like "oh you are the soul the body is an illusion", nahhh I totally feel you. I guess you just gotta find a way to embrace this insecurity.. Sending you love 🙏🏼✌🏼💪🏼❤️
