Has to be the spring drive seiko for me. Beautiful dial, beautiful hands, zaratsu polished case, awesome movement. Simple, pure, exquisite, not even a date window to divert your attention. Pure class.

The Moser has to be the best of the bunch. Discreet and ultra cool. Just love it. The Patek is lovely. Simple, understated elegance personified in a watch. The Richard Mille, 46 mm cigs planet, 42mm breitling, 45mm zenith and palm tree Rolex I’d struggle to define as low key. Fun video thank you

I've had the pleasure of trying on the Zenith Academy Georges Favre-Jacot. It's beautiful and complex, but it is no wallflower. 45mm in rose gold with a partially-open, unusual dial. It screams, "hey, I'm a really expensive and rare watch over here!".

I'm quite surprised that you didn't mention the Zenith x Kari Voutilainen Cal. 135 Obsevatoire. the fact that they put their award winning (accuracy wise) movement into a proper wristwatch case and being refinished by the legend Kari Voutilainen is just sooo freaking cool. it's like putting an old legendary race car engine and put it into a new chassis and body for it to live properly again

There's a video on YT of a chap making fusee chains for a pocket watch. Makes the mind boggle how they did this work with basic metallurgy, rudimentary tooling & candle-light in the 1800's.

Great video. If I were to remake it: GS SLGA007, I'd choose the Moser Swiss Alp with the 'loading' symbol for the seconds to make the Apple watch comparison even more obvious, I'd choose the MIH / Mechanik2 watch over the PP for an inline calendar at 0.5% the price with equal heritage, the Ba111od Chapter 4 over the RM for the same reason. Yes, there's something about that Breitling but it would look so much better as a calendar only. I might buy if such a thing exists. Zenith 🤩🤩🤩

Most of these watches I wouldn't waste my money on. The Grand Seiko, Breitling and Zenith are fine the rest you can keep. I do not pay for names or to impress, what I buy I ware. As for the Richard Mille, I would not even give you a plug nickel for it.
