Who would choose. Honda Ridgline over any of these trucks for around same price? Insane!

If you're not towing or off-roading the Ridgeline is one of the best trucks here. It has more cabin and storage space, better on road ride and handling, and a great AWD system for bad weather and occasional rough roads. If you add in the need for tacking trails or towing more than a couple thousand pounds then it moves near the bottom of the list.

Amen !! You don’t need a zr2 ! I wheel the piss out of my 2023 z71 ! I’d love to make a video with Andres trail boss !

I still need to get to part 3 of this video! I haven't tested a 2023 Z71, but so far the Colorado Trailboss is possibly my favorite midsize truck.

Your Cherokee probably runs circles around all these trucks! After following your reviews for quite some time I bought a 2023 Mojave and am very happy with it. I'm a hunter in the woods at least 50 times a year. Leaving it stock. The performance and ride quality on/off road is amazing. Thanks for doing the detailed reviews.

Thanks for sharing! I've never been in a Mojave, but would love to test one. My Cherokee does all right, it's still a work in progress, but I think I ran just slower than the ZR2 over this course at 23-24 mph. Rattled a lot more though!

@@EngineAdventures Funny thing is I have only driven 2 Gladiators and both were Mojaves. Bought the low option choice as I didn't need extras for a hunting truck. The main thing is it's got the upgraded suspension. I've owned 8 previous trucks (Edit: Four 4x4's and Four 4x2's) and this is the smoothest of them all. My last three trucks were Nissan Frontier 4x4's and I really liked them. I would have been happy with another Nissan but wanted to try something different. The Nissan handles better on the highway and steers straight as an arrow. My Gladiator on the other hand does wander some on the highway but it's clearly superior off-road. It's worth the compromise for me as this isn't a road truck. I hope you can test a Mojave. It's not perfect and I don't want to prejudice your thoughts so I'll leave it at that. Thanks for all the hard work!

@@EngineAdventures I'm thinking your Cherokee would be very competitive in 4x4 slow conditions given it's relative light weight and bigger tires. I think weight is a generally overlooked factor in off-road capability. However you have a high speed test in your compilation/comparison and there I have no idea. The Mojave is touted and designed to do better at higher speeds but that's not why I chose it. I don't drive fast off-road but at slower and moderate speeds in or out of 4x4 it's amazingly smooth and confidence inspiring. I chose it for the strengthened frame and other components and the shocks, all for hopefully a greater margin of reliability. In short I'm not using it to press the limits but rather for a reliable tool in the woods. The ride and comfort factor was a pleasant surprise.

One of my goals with the Cherokee is to keep it light weight, it's probably 3,900 lbs right now (I weighed it at 3,625 before I started in the modifications). Rear articulation is very limited by the short shocks, but the front is really good. With the OX locker up front, it climbs really well. The tires are actually only 32", but they sure look much bigger on the old XJ. For pure off-road use I'd take the Cherokee over any of these trucks, for living with daily any of these trucks is better than the Cherokee (I like the character of the XJ, but I won't argue for it as a wise choice for most people). Good points on the Mojave! Most of the time I'm easy on my vehicles. Sure I'll tow heavy loads, pull out stumps, or drive some rough trails, but all with caution. With my Cherokee, I've been more aggressive than with any other vehicle I've owned, and so far I've been very impressed. Much of the credit goes to Crux 4x4 that did a lot of the work on it for me, but it drives better than the Tacoma TRD Pro on-road, about as good at high speed off-road, and better at low speed off-road.
