@@GroundGloryGoalkeepingalso how good should a beginner be?
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping3 күн бұрын
First off, huge respect for making the move from center-back to goalkeeper - it takes a lot of courage and determination! Being hard on yourself is something many goalkeepers go through, but remember, growth comes from learning, not perfection. At 15, you absolutely still have time to develop your skills and make progress. Focus on mastering the basics: positioning, handling, and footwork. As for how good a beginner should be, there’s no set standard - what matters is consistent improvement and the willingness to learn. Use each training session and game as a chance to get better. Keep pushing yourself, and don’t hesitate to go back to the basics when needed. You're already showing great dedication by training hard and using resources like these videos - keep at it! You've got this! 🙌🧤

This workout is so tiring 😮💨. Thanks for all these workout vids. I really need to have stron calves. Btw can you reccomend me a food diet? I feel like im overeating but im not sure. Thank you 😊
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping3 күн бұрын
Glad you're pushing through the workout! 💪 Strong calves are key for goalkeepers. Regarding a food diet, focus on a balance: lean proteins (like chicken, fish, or even tofu), complex carbs (like rice, quinoa, or sweet potatoes), healthy fats (like nuts, avocado, or olive oil), and plenty of fruits and veggies. Portion control is important too - eat until you're satisfied, not stuffed. If you’re unsure about overeating, try keeping a food journal to track your meals. And remember, hydration is just as important! Stay consistent, and you’ll see results. 😊

Can you give me some tips I have 2 weeks before tournament and I want to be a best goalkeeper what are some home drills I can do? Also I had a injury I though recovered from it but still can't overcome my fear of getting injured
@GroundGloryGoalkeepingКүн бұрын
Hey, great question! First off, it's awesome that you're preparing for the tournament - two weeks is a great time to focus on sharpening your skills. Here are some home drills to get you tournament-ready: Hand-Eye Coordination: Use a small ball and bounce it against a wall. Catch it with one hand, alternating hands. It improves reflexes and handling. Footwork: Set up cones or objects in a zigzag pattern and practice shuffling through them while keeping a low stance. This helps you stay light on your feet. Diving Practice: Use a soft surface like a mattress to practice diving mechanics. Focus on landing safely, leading with your hands, and using your legs to push off. Reaction Drills: Have someone toss random objects or balls toward you at different speeds and directions. If you're alone, use a rebounder or throw a ball against a wall. Mental Preparation: Visualize game scenarios and how you’ll handle them. Picture yourself confidently catching crosses, making saves, and leading your defense. Now about the fear of injury - it’s completely normal after recovering from one. Start small and build up your confidence. Practice the techniques and get that good feeling - no need for contact in the beginning. Remind yourself that your preparation and improved technique reduce the risk of injury. You've got this - stay focused and trust in your training. Good luck in the tournament! 💪🧤

I'm still om my high school JV Team at 16, is it too late to go pro?😊
@DonaldBaier5 күн бұрын
It’s not too late, I got cut twice from my high school team. I finally made varsity as a senior in high school. Then I went on to play division 2 for a few years. Today I am playing upsl. It doesn’t matter where you star it is where you finish at the end of the day.
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping5 күн бұрын
Not at all! Many professional goalkeepers start making real progress in their late teens or even later. Being on your high school JV team at 16 gives you a foundation to build on. Focus on consistent training, improving your skills, and working hard on and off the field. If you're passionate and willing to put in the effort, there's still plenty of time to achieve your dreams. Stay dedicated, keep learning, and most importantly, believe in yourself! 😊🧤

At just 11 years old, he’s already showing so much potential, and with your support and dedication, the sky’s the limit for him. I’m so glad the videos have been helpful for your 1v1 sessions, and it's awesome to see you taking full advantage of every resource available. Keep up the fantastic work, both of you! 🙌❤️

Do need trainers to do those exercise because I prefer train with my foots
@GroundGloryGoalkeeping3 күн бұрын
You don’t necessarily need trainers to do these exercises - training barefoot or in socks can actually help with balance and strengthen your feet, as long as the surface is safe and comfortable. That said, wearing trainers can provide extra support and protection during more intense drills. It really depends on what you’re most comfortable with and the type of exercises you’re doing. Keep up the hard work!
