While this is lovely sounding, it is not yoga Nidra, it is a guided mediation.

Sarovara Yoga yes but this one is titled as a yoga Nidra and that is an incorrect description. This should be listed as a guided meditation. It is nice as a listener to know that when something is titled a nidra that it actually is one.
@SarovaraYoga4 жыл бұрын
@@sydneyg920 I understand your opinion, but I think you might be getting caught up in semantics. Yoga Nidra is a state, and the more a person practices, the easier it is for them to find this state. There are many people that can drop into a deep state of nidra, regardless of the time spent, or whether they move through an exact 5 kosha or 10 step formula or not. People who are very experienced/steeped in the process will drop deep into nidra with no problem or analyzing whatsoever. People who are newer to the practice, will find chikitsa, therapuedic benefits from smaller chunks or aspects of a nidra practice whether it's a full guidance or not! In that way, it's a nice introduction or gateway for many people. So, in that sense and from that perspective, there's nothing incorrect about the description, though I get the opinion and understand where it might be coming from! Namaste.

I heard about Yoga Nidra listening to Dr. Huberman, a brain studier from Stanford. Brain plasticity, according to the Dr., requires a rigorous focus followed by a rigorous non focus, or sleep, or Deep rest non sleep. Alli really helps me chill anytime. Very relaxing and or refreshing. We'll see how the plasticity goes.

Hi Joanna, I understand what you’re saying. If you like yoga Nidra you can find dozens of traditional nidras on my channel. Yoga Nidra however is a state, it can be found independently of a particular systematic process, though I understand if you prefer to practice that way, 99% of my recordings are more traditional in nature. Namaste.
